Clients rights when no contract was signed
There is a chance of getting the money back via legal action. The court will hear both arguments from each side and decide "on the balance of probabilities" who should win. This civil burden of proof is much easier to prove than the criminal burden, which is "beyond all reasonable doubt". If your friend has any proof whatsoever to back up their argument, it will help. For example, proof of payment (hopefully it wasn't cash), records of any emails sent, phone bills that prove calls were placed to the defendants telephone, witnesses to the verbal agreement etc etc.

PC Speaker Recommendation?
Sorry, I know the're not slim line, but the quality won't disappoint you! I put the big bit under the desk next to the printer - the little speakers don't take up much room.

PC Speaker Recommendation?
I use these: 80 watts - I picked them up from PC world about 4 years ago for around £80 - so probably quite cheap now! They have served me extremely well!

Shopping Site Review
Very usable which is good. I personally don't like the colours, it looks a bit dull. But if that's what the client wants then so be it!

Website design?
Have you explored Joomla! ? It is quite good and easy once you get to grips on the basics - there are also lots of free Joomla! templates floating around that you can customise quite easily with a little bit of tweaking... By the way, Joomla! is free - http://www.joomla.org

What search engine do you use?
I use Google, mainly because I use Chrome and it is as simple as typing search terms in the address bar.

building a site with a booking page
If you are prepared to pay, you could use WHMCS - although it is marketed at hosting companies, you can use it for the purpose you stated. They also provide an integration service which will match the site as you have designed it. It costs around 20 dollars per month, so depends how much the client is prepared to spend. Design for new site
It looks good - an awful lot of similar concept sites are just so un-user friendly, I can never be bothered to persist. About time someone made a more modern looking one!

New NHS Smokefree Site
I think it's really good - eye catching, obvious and informative. It looks especially appealing to younger people, but the information is there for older people too. Great job!

Hiya
I am new to dreamweaver myself - so can't offer any help, but best of luck with it. I like the idea of the types of websites you are building - it would be great to make the internet more inclusive in that way.

Protest of Nestle
I don't think I am aware of a point in time when people haven't been protesting against Nestle! I remember a lot of public disquiet surrounding powdered milk which they were selling to African mothers as a substitute to breast milk - apparently they were misrepresenting its qualities, if my mamory serves me correctly. (apologies for the pun - I couldn't resist )

Web Design Website for Review
I really don't like sites that are dark - but that's just me! From a design point of view, I think it looks good - I agree with the firefox logo too, it shouldn't really matter. But on the whole it looks nice.
