  1. Hey guys! Both worked, but changed the percentage in the body selector, completely missed that too. Always need a 2nd set of eyes! Thanks to you both!

  4. Hi Guys! Under the image on this page (http://store.luof.co.../10019c.jpg.php), I want to be able to change the line height. Tried firebugging it, to no avail. Any ideas how to change this? Thanks! Edit: Only editing this site for the customer, not me who coded it at all! ¬_¬
  5. Hi guys, I want to implement AJAX into a contact a contact form, here is the code I have so far... $("#contact_form").validate({ meta: "validate", submitHandler: function (form) { $('#contact_form').hide(); $('#sucessmessage').append("<h4 class='form_thanks'>Thanks, your email has been sent! We will get back to you as soon as possible</h4>"); return false; form.submit(); }, /* */ rules: { name: "required", lastname: "required", // simple rule, converted to {required:true} email: { // compound rule required: true, email: true }, subject: { required: true, }, message: { required: true } }, messages: { name: "Please enter your name.", lastname: "Please enter your last name.", email: { required: "Please enter email.", email: "Please enter valid email" }, subject: "Please enter a subject.", message: "Please enter a message." }, }); /*========================================*/ }); How do I implement AJAX jQuery code into this (posting to a PHP file)? Thanks Matt EDIT: Sorry about the indentation, I'm tidier than that, I blame Dreamweaver though
  6. dont worry, sorted it now, you were along the right lines, thanks!
  7. hey there! tried changing that, so the z-index is 0, still doesn't work though
  8. Hi guys! I have made a drop down menu, and changed the z-index of the menu and the jQuery slider, so the drop down would go over the top. Now the slider has disappeared completely! (the big white area under the menu) Any ideas? Website is here: http://mattmaclennan.co.uk/gb2/index.php Thanks! Matt
  9. Hey Pete, Thanks, that worked great! And I learnt what clears are used for! Have seen them before, not sure what they were for though. Thanks again!

  11. Hi guys, I have a problem with my CSS, I float the image left, and the text wraps okay. But the footer moves up for some reason, any ideas why? Here is the website The bit in question is the "<div id="footer">" with the green line green line and the "Copyright GBsqd LLC. All Rights Reserved" on it. Thanks! Matt
  12. Hi there! My personal opinion, is that you should have what you have already done at the top. I would be more interested in that. That then obviously gives away what services you give. This site shows it well. It just has examples of what they have done, organised into categories. Obviously, that's a person who does pure design, so I think you are on the right lines in terms of layout!
  13. Hi Guys, Just a bit of advice needed. Just wondering if there is any special method needed to get fixed header scrolling working on mobile browsers? For example... this site works on both computer and mobile. Any ideas would be great! Thanks! Matt
  14. Thanks guys! I figured it out! Had to change the nameservers to GoDaddys... Then change the A Record to the 123-reg hosting package, set the MX record to the current one. Thanks again!
  15. Hey Guys! Right, I'm a bit of a newbie on GoDaddy, it's the customers' choice! I need to change the nameservers to my 123-reg hosting, but can I do it without affecting the email that's currently in place? I can't see any extra email packages added on at GoDaddy, so I'm confused as to where the email is hosted. Probably obvious, but would rather make sure! Thanks! Matt
  16. Yeah, does it automatically. Guess it's something to do with image size limits in SWD?
  17. Hi guys! Trying to save slices of an image, sized 12800 x 600. I need to make 16 slices which are 800 x 600. When I put it into "Save for Web and Devices", it gives me the usual warning about file size (I know the purpose of "Save for Web and Devices, however, need to save these slices), then it automatically resizes my image to 64%. Any method to combat this? Or any other way to save slices? Regards Matt

  19. Hi there! I use Adobe Browserlab. This is good for what I do, because you can overlay 2 browsers, and easily see the differences. Best thing is, you don't have to install any extra browsers. Zed is right, if you are web developing, you should really have all the common web browsers installed, but because I'm feeling kind, here are the links Google Chrome Firefox Internet Explorer Safari Hope this helps!
