So if you didn't know, DOWNLOAD 2007 was this weekend. I'm not really into that much Metal, just Rock really. But anyway i managed to get FREE VIP tickets on Friday, we picked up a couple of mates and headed down, we miss the first night of music, but that was my chemical romance and i heard they got bottled, so i don't think we missed anything special. Saturday: We got into the arena at 10am and got to the front, We saw Turisas first from Finland and they were good. Then it was Hellyeah and i didn't like them they weren't that good. we left just before shadows fall so we didn't here much of them and we just got back before aiden and heard a couple of there songs. The next band we saw were Bowling for Soup and they were bloody amazing. They interacted with the crowd so much. Good band. Also the cameras kept going onto girls on peoples shoulders and each time the girls get there tits out soo funny the lead singer of Bowling for Soup loved it! The next band we watch were Biffy Clyro. I thought that they were ok, but from what i had heard about them i thought they were going to be amazing, but that as good as the hype. Next we went to see Marilyn Mason. I don't really have an opinion on him and i don't really like his music but he is good on stage but he didn't interact with the crowd very much, he just sang his songs then was like 'Hello Download' and never said much. BORING! Now it was Linkin Park, we didn't get into the crowd but they were good. we left half way throw but our VIP camp is right next to the main stage so we could hear them from out tent. Then that night we sat at the camp and drank cider and whiskey, awesome lol. The next day sunday, we got to the front again. The first band was Parikrama from india and they sounded pretty kool. Next was Reuben. And they were good, i enjoyed there songs, it was much better than some nutty screamo crap that was on. Next was Chimiaira. And they were ok. But the bassist kept staring at me n my mate coz we weren't jumpin up and down. But my favorite act was Papa Roach. Because Jacoby Shaddix came down from the stage and upto the crowd. yeh i so touched him. How many people can say they have touched him. He hugged my mate next to me. Then we were all on the big screens, oh that was the best performance. After Papa Roach we headed for for a pot noodle and had a little sleep after not going to bed till 5:30am. So after lunch and a sleep we went to the main stage again, two of my mates went into the crowd and me and another mate stopped at the top. In the bottle fight. Which was funny at first but then i got smashed in the face and i now have a big cut on my forehead. I'm sure in the next couple of days look at Youtube and there'll be loads of videos. We had loads of Papa Roach but someone nicked my mates phone so we have no photos now. Bastards. We sat and watched Evanescence and they were pretty good too, a lot of people were shouting from the side of the hill 'get your tit's out love' On the main stage it was Iron Maiden but i didn't really want to see them so me n my mate went to see Billy Talent. The crowd was pretty small but they were all real Billy Talent fans. Amazing, they sound so good live. Very Good Band! Then the band finished and everyone was shouting for an encore. And they were the only band i saw that got an encore. Then we left and started talking to some people and it was pretty kool. Eventually we turned in for the night reafy to be up for 6am so we could miss the traffic but we got up at 20 to 10 so that plan was out the window. but we left at 11am and didn't get any traffic really so it was a good weekend at DOWNLOAD. I just thought i would fill you in. Any questions feel free to ask. Cromo...
