  1. fair enough. i guess ill have to see what it looks like once i add the appropriate content. i have a feeling that once i get past the pure text blog content, it could look much more appropriate.
  2. hey hey, please comment on my sliced portfolio layout. any crit at all is greatly appreciated.
  3. well 30 days in terms of the internet is a huge amount of time to not get a single hit. however i could probably afford to double it.
  4. i like it but , the splash page is untitled.
  5. how long would be that minimum youd be happy with?
  6. not a chance. if you truly had problems it was because your mime was not one of the accepted types. i.e. you image is actually an executable etc.
  7. a month back i put, what i then considered to be, the finishing touches on my image hosting website. since then i have decided that at the very least i will be adding a feature to resize images which are above the 2MB limit, so in effect, almost any image could be hosted. i also hope to add tiff and swf support. any comments or ideas? all crit appreciated.
  8. for imageho.st i added a loading bar in a div which becomes visible when the submit button is pushed. tbh, the image doesnt animate in ie. any of you an ajax expert wwho feels like writing a tutorial on proper loading bars?

  13. hi im adam, i figured id give this place a try for a while, so here i am. i work with graphics, html, css and php. im also currently trying to get my head around ruby. kudos
  14. i wish i could do this: http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=/200/200.css&page=0
  15. nifty, id never heard of that. but yeas, too many people with ie6 to warrant its use as of yet in my opinion.
  16. fair dos, it can very well be helpful and it could be a good stepping stone for people moving from tables to css based design. it is however not an end in itself by any means. the sitepoint book i mentioned got me from tables to css in about a week. once you get used to it, it is a rather intuitive method anyway.
  17. resorting to a site like that would be a real shame. you will never learn to do be able to do something original if you are constricted to layout guidelines everyone has seen before. anyway, that website is clearly just an adsense farm. if you want to learn to do proper css design, i highly recommend sitepoint's css book
