August 3, 200818 yr Hi I have tried searching for this online but cant find it anywhere. If you do a search for webdesign forum you will see extra page names/links added under the main page result. This is quite common now on many sites. I wondered if it was automatic but i cant get it for any of my sites, so wondered if there was something you can do? Thanks
August 3, 200818 yr Author Hi. I know of another site showing the links and it has a PR4 (according to a few of the 3rd party PR checkers) but my site also is PR4 but does not. Must be something in addition to PR maybe?
August 3, 200818 yr I believe it happens when your site ranks #1 for a particular set of related keywords. In this case it could be "web design forum" , "webdesign forum" and "web designer forum" - as this forum ranks #1 for each, it's perceived as a valued resource so will display more site links from that particular website. Knowing that this forum rocks - same for any other leading website if you use the right search term. Web designer forum works as it has related URL, title and meta descriptions, inbound links and also related content - so it's no wonder Web Designer Forum is #1 in the search results.
August 3, 200818 yr Search Google for "sitelinks" and you'll get lots of information about them. According to Google they are additional results for that site where they might be related/useful to the visitors seach http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/b...&topic=8523 has more...
August 3, 200818 yr Author I searched for ages trying to find info, I didn't know they were called "sitelinks" so nothing much came up. Now I know they're called sitelinks there's quite a lot of pages on this so will have a good read. I believe it happens when your site ranks #1 for a particular set of related keywords My own site ranks #1 for certain popular keywords with my local area and I dont get them. So probably a combination of factors. Hopefully the results that come up searching for sitelinks will give some tips toward trying to get them. thanks

Yes you got it, I think DesignerKarly touched on it with the following: Web designer forum works as it has a related URL, title and meta descriptions, inbound links and also related content - so it's no wonder Web Designer Forum is #1 in the search results. It is a combination of lot's of related things Woop!
August 4, 200818 yr Sitelinks is automatically done by google if you're site is worthy enough. I suggest you open a Google Webmaster Tools account and register your website, this will give you information on this kind of stuff and also helps google crawl your website better. There is a section in there about sitelinks where you can get information about them and google will also let you know if your site has sitelinks or not. www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
