Ive found sites that you can pay for hits but these are probably all software generated and for your own personal enjoyment of seeing thousands of hits on your stats page!!!

 

Is there any legit sites where you can pay for visitors?

Thanks for that advise Peartree. I have emailed companies that offer sending your link out in an email to their mailing list but they are asking for 800 euros to 250,000 emails only. This is a bit too much out of my price range, I was looking along the lines of £50-£100 for 20,000 unique visitors!!!

You can pay for impressions of your website some as cheap as $5 for 10,0000 targeted hits. The way most of these schemes work is when you sign up they take information about your site i.e genre audience etc. They then have a very large database of domain names that are no longer associated with any sites. If a domain gets typed in that meets your sites criteria then that person will be redirected to your site you can set a time scale aswell usually so your 10,000 hits don't just flitter away in a couple of days. But at the end of the day these visitors aren't guaranteed to start clicking around on your site they may just close the window , but at the end of the day they have still been to your site and your hit counter will clock up. I have done some thinking recently about a method to take advantage of these schemes. If your site has advertising and 10,0000 people visit for $5 (£2.50) your quite likely to make that revenue back from your adverts. anyway there is no harm in trying it just goto google and search for targeted web traffic $5 in the search. I'm pretty sure they don't allow you to use if for myspace profiles and youtube etc but that isn't all of them however if you set up an auto re-direct page there is a good chance that you could make it work.

 

I will be purchasing some targeted traffic this evening because I forgot how fun it was to see lots of hits.

Not neccesarily as I make money off of my visitors. Are you saying that every person that uses adwords is sad for buying visitors?

 

Buying visitors on these sites is just having your link on hundreds of websites that they own so it is only advertising but they do it for you instead

Google Adwords is a great way of pushing visitors to your site. And whoever thinks its a poor effort need not comment. For those site owners who struggle with SEO then Adwords is a good way of increasing your page rank. And you are not "buying" visitors, but instead paying a predetermined amount when someone decides to visit your site because it is something they are interested.

 

Infact, Adwords is actually in many ways far more beneficial, as it allows you to target your marketing efforts, rather than simply market to themasses. You can also choose frequency of page impressions and as already mentioned, how much you are willing to pay per click.

 

Be warned though, if you are new to Adwords ensure you test it on a small scale first. Set yourself a low budget over a set timescale to allow you to accurately judge the overall effectiveness of your Adwords campaign. As with any form of marketing you should always test on a small scale before roling it out en-masse. If not you can, and chances are WILL, get your fingers burned. So the message is be safe, be sensible, and test your market first. Follow the basic marketing code and you are likely to achieve excellent results.

1) adwords/adsense is completely different to just paying for non-quality hits from users/bots that have no interest in your site/service, which is what the initial question is asking for.

 

2)'and whoever thinks its a poor effort need not comment' - you may have a hard time pushing tis sentiment, being on a forum and all, the whole free debate and interaction of a forum community 'thing' might not sit well with that idea.

yeah most of these pay for traffic companies are dodgy - I'd be very wary if I was you.

 

If you want traffic, save your money for decent advertising schemes like adsense, banner spots, etc. You're much more likely to get some decent traffic that will actually turn into results.

Paying for visitors is perfectly ethical & legit, and makes perfect business sense if they are targeted & relevant. In addition to Adwords, (which you obviously already use) most social networking sites also offer advertising options, and these can be very targeted.
