  1. Another issue with your site is that it is 100% flash. Although Search Engines can now crawl flash. It is going to be difficut to get a good listiong with so much flash. Consider adding more non flash content to your site
  2. You are right, you need a web serever for your web pages plus a database server for the data. These can be on the same machine, but don't have to be. Most hosting providers (us included) would be able to supply you with this infrastructure. In terms of how it is done, that is too big a subject to go into on a forum post. I would sugest you go for a book on building Dynamic PHP websites This one is pretty good, especially if you are developing in Dreamweaver http://www.amazon.com/Dreamweaver-MX-PHP-W.../ref=pd_sim_b_1
  3. Another, Simpler option to Joomla would be wordpress. Although this is a blogging software, it is much simpler to ser up than Joomla, but can still be used as a simple Content management system
  4. In my experience it is good to get a mixture of links, some with the keywords some without as Google sees this as a more natural linking pattern.
  5. Wordtracker does have a UK tool, but unless you are interested in some searches for common key phrases the search numbers are too low to be useful. The best key phrase tool I use is the MIVA tool. I believe that this does monitor UK searches (note the UK in the URL): https://account.uk.miva.com/advertiser/Acco...ywordGenBox.asp Also, I have found that if you replace the UK with a different county code you can check searches in other languages (Try fr and it!)
  6. Its not so much length as Keyphrase density that counts from an SEO perspective. You should try to include the keyphrase at least once. Best bet is to take a look at the titles on sites on the first page of Google for a search for your chosen keyword, and use these as a model
  7. I concur, Image size has no impact on SEO. Only SEO issue is make sure you include alt tags with all your images. Also, from a usability perspective keep file size down to speed up page loading. Most good web image editors make it easy to play around with resolutions & compression settings to get the best image quality/size combination
  8. Paying for visitors is perfectly ethical & legit, and makes perfect business sense if they are targeted & relevant. In addition to Adwords, (which you obviously already use) most social networking sites also offer advertising options, and these can be very targeted. We are planning to publish a white paper on the subject over the next couple of weeks including a list of site you can advertise on). If you keep an eye on our resources page, you may find it useful. I will also post the paper here when it is published.
