  1. http://gi-gi.co.uk just the homepage so far. The information for each page will take up as much room as it requires below the navigation, The home page is just the logo and nav bar.
  2. we are working on a few as we speak. cheers
  3. You are all invited to submit your own design of the london 2012 logo on this new flickr group I have set up. It will be interesting to see them all in the same place. http://flickr.com/groups/2012logo It's a chance to show how much better it could have been if civilian designers had been given the brief have fun and submit away!!!!
  4. All the best with the design , Let us see the finished thing when your done.
  5. Hey , I'm not sure if your still working on a logo. If it isn't part of the agreement to redesign the logo don't do it . However if you have some good ideas then ask the client if they we're after this service and quote them accordingly and make sure you give it them in the largest format possible with a transparent background. I imagine a PNG file or PDF would suffice. A good logo is born when you do something different. I notice you have used photography as part of the logo. Remember the logo if used in different mediums will be printed at different sizes and a a lot of companies don't even use colour printers. A logo should be recognizable and clean even when in grayscale. May I suggest knocking the design into it's simplest form and if you can make it with vectors to allow it to be resized easily . (clients often ask if their logo can be made bigger). Taking the name I have mocked the following logo using a similar type face to which they use. (a shame but style does have to be kept unless they state otherwise) It's basic but it works, now feel free to replicate this logo but please don't let me find it being used on the website. I just wanted to show how simplistic it needs to be. Hope the website goes well.
  6. Lol I thought that it was an insult, clever stuff though isn't it ;0

Just working with a layout you may have already seen it , don't worry about the skewif positioning of the iframe that isn't a problem , The problem is that I want the iframe to only be the width of the content inside it which is another page on the server called news.html. In the html I have tried to set the iframe to the same size of the frame content with no such luck. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong ? Thanks http://podchatter.com/fwork/index.html the page within the iframe is located here http://podchatter.com/fwork/news.html Thanks in advance.

  12. Having only used Dreamweaver I cannot really vote , However I don't think I want to start using a different program as Dreamweaver is great. granted I am still using the last version that Macromedia made I think that I will update to adobe's take on it in the near future. Especially as I hear that photoshop works a little more seamlessly with it. Anyway it would be interesting to see which one of this software comes out on top.
  13. For those of you that don't know my skill set that well, I am officially a moving image and audio specialist. This means alot of video , sound scaping , animation, composition and more. Me and a few friends are looking into forming a collective as each of us have different skills which when put together can sell a really great package. We will be combining all of our video work into a full showreel. The way the collective will work is by each person sticking to their niche on each project and quoting each aspect of a project to the client seperatley which is then summarised as a full amount to the client. Anyway enough about what we do . So the time has come to start putting a website together to stretch ourselves a bit further field and I have begun working on the layout which is here for you to see . There is no content the main thing is I have created the header bar and we know what colour scheme we are going with. Your thoughts are appreciated. http://www.podchatter.com/fwork/index.html <<< it will be here for your viewing temporarily Thanks
  14. Oh wow that was actually really simple, Thanks for putting it into plain english. Just in answer to the absolute positioning question there were 2 graphical elements (The Logos) that are PNG's with transparent backgrounds. I had tried every way i could think to make them load up in the right place ( I wanted them to overlap the nav areas). The absolute positioning works great and now the site loads perfectly in the middle thanks to everyones help. May I suggest this post gets to stay ? It's such a simple little thing that I couldn't get my head around. I have only recently waved goodbye to tables as I was brought up with a pretty old school method of making websites ( That's what A Level I.C.T does to you) Thanks for all the help anyway. And hello Css and Div Tags
