Not sure what you mean by a landing page. Do you mean a page people will visit as a result of a marketing campaign? If so what it purpose of this page? What do you want it to achieve?

Yes, wix is that bad.

So what you want is a single page with some blurb and a contact form. You could get this built in a few hours. The actual form could be mailchimp (or similar) to collect the user data as a mailing list.

But consider that a single page could easily become multiple pages as time goes on. So maybe a bit of future proofing might be useful just in case you need something more complex later.

OK good to know thank you

Yes the form can be mailchimp. I have an account.

I want to point it at my own domain. I also don't want to spend lots on it

Any thought on how i should proceed?

I think you should pay more attention to the landing page, because it is important. You can have a good website, but if your landing page is not responsive, you won't have enough visitors. Also it should be accessible with all devices as a lot of people use the Internet through their mobile gadgets. In my opinion, Wix is not good enough for this. If you need a proper landing page, you can read some useful information here. It's better to pay more money, but have an expected result. Good luck!

That's what I'm offering, to show you how to do this yourself.

Why do this via PMs then? would it not be better to share with the rest of the forum this advice?

I hate to ask but what actually is a Landing Page ?

It's a page built for a single purpose. So for example if you want to run a series of offline flyers for delivery and you want to gauge the response then you'd use something like yourdomain.com/letsgetstarted advertised on the flyers.
