July 4, 201511 yr As a beginner, I get stuck on my projects quite often. I always look around to see if anyone has had the same problem but it doesn't always translate into what I am doing so I have to ask for help. I do ask on this forum and Sitepoint though I feel a bit bad for often asking for help as it is other people's time. I had been recommended StackOverflow though I tend to get short, sometimes rude and unhelpful responses on there. Where do you go for help when you are stuck?
July 4, 201511 yr Stackoverflow usually has the answers to problems already if you search. If my problem is not found I ask on here and StackOverflow. Edited July 4, 201511 yr by rbrtsmith
July 5, 201511 yr Google... It's my tutor/coach/physio in life But yeah like citypaul, 90% of the time I end up on stackoverflow if I get stuck.
July 6, 201511 yr If I am in a hurry, then I Google. But most of the time I prefer to visit a professional of that typical field. Edited July 6, 201511 yr by ErickShawn
July 6, 201511 yr I use the interwebs Seriously though a quick Google (or DuckDuckGo!) can usually turn up solutions.
July 9, 201511 yr When I'm completely stuck I stop working. Take a break, go for a drive etc. Then come back and tale a fresh look at what I'm stuck on. Guess you can only take that apprach when you freelance though Can do that in my place, can just come on WDF or browse, nip out for a coffee to clear your head. I think some of the better organisations know this kind of flexibility helps with productivity
July 9, 201511 yr I usually Google the issue, and 2 seconds later I find the answer... On stackoverflow Exactly this. Or nowadays, I'm so used to Stackoverflow answering all of my questions, I simply append or prepend it to my Google search, i.e. "js factory function stackoverflow".

Guess you can only take that apprach when you freelance though This is often one of the best things to do. There have been numerous times at work where I've been stuck on a difficult issue for a few hours. Gone home, had a sleep, come back the next morning and I fix it within minutes. It's good to clear your head and take a break. Can do that in my place, can just come on WDF or browse, nip out for a coffee to clear your head. I think some of the better organisations know this kind of flexibility helps with productivity Definitely. I do the same. My boss is well aware that I take time out to do things like this. Not only are you taking a break from your task for a few mins, you're probably learning something else while you're at it
July 9, 201511 yr I normally Google it > StackOverflow/WebDesignerForum it and if I'm still stuck I Google it some more
