What does everybody else use for their CRM?

 

There are so many of them on the market today, all very similar in what they do, so what do people recommend?

 

I have flirted with Zoho (currently my preferred option due to its integration with Google Apps) and CapsuleCRM (seems a little to minimalistic for my liking) but feel I maybe missing something?

 

Essentially, well for me anyway, a CRM is, in it's simplest form, a database of contacts (clients, leads, suppliers etc) for which you can store information about. I don't necessarily need in-depth analysis on sales/leads, how much each contact is worth to me etc. That is not important to me, and I use Xero to manage the financial side of things anyway.

 

I guess I need something that can store general information, notes on projects, contact details, web addresses, that sort of thing.

 

It has to be Cloud based, preferably with a mobile app, although the latter isn't essential.

 

Obviously, pricing is a deciding factor, which is why I am shying away from Salesforce...

A lot of clients I work with use SugarCRM, which I tend to use a lot and add bespoke functionality for clients.

 

For myself, PancakeApp has everything I need - clients, invoices, partial payment, estimates, timers, expenses, proposals and a ticketing system. Granted, it's not a full CRM, per se, but it's simple to use, self hosted and rocks my socks. Can't recommend ti enough to be honest.

 

For keeping track of customer contacts/leads I'm currently writing something for myself in Laravel 5 - I'm buggered if I'm paying someone for something so simple

Looks like I'm sticking with Zoho for now. It integrates well with Google Apps and my Gmail account(s). I actually prefer to keep accounting/invoicing completely separate from the CRM, which is used largely as a database for contact/business details along with keeping information on hosting, renewal dates etc etc.

I use Zoho, have for years, but really don't like it much. So many buttons and options.

 

I've started to use jumplead. It is more marketing automation, but it has some crm functions. As long as you don't have hundreds of clients it should be OK.

 

You might want to look at Capsule as well. It links with GApps as well. It's simple, but I scrapped it.

Hi, I am in the process of developing a very simple CRM which does everything you require and nothing more.

 

If you like I could sell it you for a monthly fee? Your input would be appreciated as you would be my first customer.

I have some experience using Salesforce, and it worked pretty good for our business. What about this Zoho thing? Is it really good?

Zoho is a good system, but it isn't quite easy to use. I prefer to use CRM solutions from http://customertimes.com/services/salesforce-com-implementation/ company, they are very convenient and easy to use. Also, I installed a mobile application, using it I can control my business anywhere.

I use Activecollab, it's been 3 years now and I also use it for invoicing, project management, CRM and to archive discussions. If it's one thing I hate about it, it's that it doesn't support recurring payments, only recurring invoicing which is not the same.

We use sage one for our CRM etc & basecamp for project management.

 

I did start to work on our own but just ran out of time.

 

Any suggestions for CRM & Project Management in one?

Hello! As for me, I use some online business crm solutions which my friend recommended me. You can easily use it for your Web Design Agency as well. I hope that it will help you too
