Too much time spend on browsing local folders

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Not sure where to post this question. I realize I spend enormous amounts of cumulative time browsing my local web folders from within different applications. How do you solve this problem?

I have recently sold my computer and brought a thunderbolt display for my laptop for a similar reason to you. I was for ever transferring files over from one to the other, now i just use my mac book pro for everything and plugging it into my display when i want to work at my desk. As for my file structure i have two main folders and the following sub folders

- Projects

-- Personal Projects

--- Project 1
--- Project 2
--- Project 3
-- Clients
--- Project 1
--- Project 2
--- Project 3
-- Open Source
--- Project 1
--- Project 2
--- Project 3
- Archives (non project related items such as un-coded PSDs Random templates i have brought etc...)
-- PSDs
--- Completed Layout
--- Game Related
--- UI
--- Textures/Brushes
--- Other
-- Templates
--- Gaming
--- Corporate
-- Other

Slightly different here...

---- client1

---- client2

- sites B

---- client2

...then repeat for each letter, 26 folders

Assets

- iconssets

---- iconset1

---- iconset2

- fonts

- docs

- logos (credit cart logos etc)

Javascript

... etc
