September 25, 201312 yr Would love some feedback about my new site. Any advice appreciated, the site itself is quite simple in design. Thanks Edited September 25, 201312 yr by pixelcoder
September 26, 201312 yr Looks simple and great. Your pricing page circles should have some design to look attractive.
September 26, 201312 yr The design is really quite simple. You can add a slider to your home page where you have written only Pixel Coder. Also there is no contact form as Sash have already told you.Rest is fine.
September 26, 201312 yr Author Thanks guys, kind feedback. The contact form will be coming tomorrow evening and also some design for the circles. I was thinking about a slider, but don't really need one. Maybe just one banner only.
September 26, 201312 yr This is one of the types design i really like, it looks clean and professional.. using hard lines is my way to design a website, so keep up the good work
September 26, 201312 yr Do you plan on making the site responsive? In my opinion, I would make the circles on the prices and packaging page the red colour that you are using. Just so they stand out more. Thats only what I would do though. Other than that good work
September 27, 201312 yr Author No, I have little interest in responsive web design at the minute. It's simply too much work to comprehend for each site. I'll try adding some colour in the circles. Hadn't thought about red. Thanks
September 30, 201312 yr "No, I have little interest in responsive web design at the minute. It's simply too much work to comprehend for each site." well that will certainly set you apart from the competition - but not in a good way seeing as you're using WP how hard would it be to have started with a basic responsive theme? even something like 2012? also you need to be more explicit in what you mean by cross-browser: do you mean all modern browsers? (desktop or including mobile?) otherwise clients will expect it to mean - shudder - IE6 support and i'm pretty sure clients won't undertsand what 'progressive enhancement' is. main copy is on the tiny side at 13px - what's wrong with browser default of 16px? though at least you have a generous amount of line height front page: 'focusing' is the usual spelling oh yeah: i do like the overall layout and colour Edited September 30, 201312 yr by dap
October 1, 201312 yr I like the general layout and design, but agree that the font size could be a little bigger. The red hover/current menu item goes for my eyes a little bit, as does the grey text on the footer menu (on top of the textured pixel background). This might be really picky, but the middot on the title tags looks a bit funny, almost as if it's been leftover by mistake. As for the responsive styles, it really doesn't take that long to learn and I'm guessing your potential clients will expect their site to look right on their mobiles/ipads etc. Best of luck with your venture.
