anyone tell me the difference between global link popularity and local link popularity.

Links pointing towards your site from absolutely anywhere on the web which is known as Global link popularity. While you can say if links pointing towards your site from specific topical neighborhood.

Bacically local link popularity is better for you as you want your backlinks to be pointing from certain websites that can boost your search engine rankings in your niche.

If your website comes in top 10 with long tail including your local business keyword or area That is local link popularity.

And without long tail if its comes in top 10 that is local link popularity

I think both link popularity is very important to seo because first of all local popularity is very important.

its depend upon your business and which area you wants to target... for global business needs to build links global links.

Global link popularity and local link popularity both are the ranking factors.
