Jquery Event Handler Question

Featured Replies

Some years ago I worked a lot with ActionScript 3. And I learned that it was good practice to remove eventlisteners after they have been used if there’s a chance they are going to get assigned again later on. Now I’m working on a Jquery script and I was wondering
if reassigning the same function to an event over and over will hurt the performance.
I’ve read that jquery events can be removed with the bind/unbind event handlers. Is it good practice to bind/unbind those events or shouldn’t I bother? The script seems to run fine without unbinding.
