Which image? How to specify what image web urls display

On my website I have my images for the site as well as some other images from associated sites.

The annoying thing is that some social media software, such as Facebook and LinkedIn pick the wrong image on my page to display alongside the URL.

So whenever I post an update on the timeline the associated image is the wrong one.

How can I specify which image must be associated with my URL?
