Ok so without sounding stupid can you tell me where to find these settings and what they should be? Ive never played with the settings before and usually just use the default

file - save for web and devices, then tell us what you're doing or are you mistakenly using just file and save as? when you go to web and devices you will see the various settings on the right where you can select jpeg, png, gif etc, and settings for each of those image formats.

Ok right, I know where you mean. Sorry I thought there may have been additional settings. I am using JPEG, I have tried med and high quality - makes no different. Have tried resolution 72 Pixels/Inch, Colour Mode RGB 8 Bit no luck

It would also be nice to know if you Save for Web & Devices as a PNG, does the quality get any better? That would let us know whether it's something with your display/document or the JPG settings you are using.

your work is impressive. Excellent stuff there.

This is just it. Seeing what I've cobbled up compared to your stuff is worlds apart. I may as well sack it now. You've obviously got an eye for the graphic design. i haven't. Not to be outdone, I'm torrenting a load of templates. I wont be beaten on this.
