CS6 Issues - Photoshop
This is just it. Seeing what I've cobbled up compared to your stuff is worlds apart. I may as well sack it now. You've obviously got an eye for the graphic design. i haven't. Not to be outdone, I'm torrenting a load of templates. I wont be beaten on this.

Trying to chose an image for a homepage
I like them all jonbey. Maybe the last image, the dark haired girl, is my fave. She is the more attractive. And asking for "top" "middle" or "bottom" is a bit presumptious, so soon in our relationship jonbey. As for the websites, well they're all well cool.

Keeping your website the same on every browser and every screen size?
Now, there's a thing...fonts. I've specifically added Calibri on my styles. Looks great. If a visitor hasn't got Calibri, then its just to bad for their experience. It will default to sans-serif, or Times. As fonts go...its sexy. Add a bit of justify and we are talking font porn.
- Some critique would be appreciated on my personal portfolio!

Heard a rumour - register domain for more than 1 year to improve ranking
The point is, and I totally missed it, was that scam artists aside, for honest & genuine start-ups, 12 months or two years is a valuable indicator on web presence and stuff. I stumped up £103 last week for a .com name and 3 years hosting with modules that I've never even heard of or thought about. For a start off, we are no cart. We are currently a non-profit outfit and will be for a long time. We currently transfer info through other web site forums and decided to go it alone, specialising on certain ideas and technologies. So, having no clue about web site design I was short strawed into whipping up something half-decent. This has been quite epic. My thing is, and I am probably wrong, that to be taken seriously out there then the first port of call is a professional looking web site. Purists out there, and here's the kick, will frown on this BUT for those of us with no idea about web design are tempted to go template based or spot a nice web site, give it a bit of "save as", reverse enginner and hey presto....a web site. Anyway, enough in my posts to stimulate some debate. Regards

Heard a rumour - register domain for more than 1 year to improve ranking
Well, we've just signed up with this outfit http://www.hostpapa.co.uk. Three years, all singing and dancing accessories & modules. This is a first time for me and I hit cpanel. Mail, hack protection, adwords here, google words there, auto-responders, passwords for this, passwords for that ,etc.etc. Im terrified of clicking mouse incase I screw the whole thing up. Very tiny steps and a hell of a learning curve. Thats why I joined this forum. I've spent the better part of this last weekend going thru posts and got some good tips and great advice and help. I'm no graphic designer or coder. Fair play to those who are. I'm an engineer. AutoCAD, 3DS Max...maybe, CSS, html, javascript....NO. Anyway, Im rambling on a bit here cos Im a bit pissed and my family hate me. LOL. The quest continues.

horizontal nested menu & animated banner hassles
Yes, cheers DriftingSteps...it's worked. Thank you so much. A massive help. I would never have sussed that out myself, although when I was Googling a solution last week I came across an article about z-axis with Flash animations and a hack on something called wmode. This not being Flash and not having a clue about wmode it went over my head. Easy when you know how. Thanx again and best regards.

CSS Horizontal nav bar position help!
You seem to have pretty much achieved what I've been trying to do for the last couple of days, namely you have a nested horizontal over a sliding banner. Nice one! As for your problem are you on about centering it? These links may be of some use to you. The first few are for Spry ( i don't know whether you want to go that way but good heads up) and a neat menu. Hope some of this will help. http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/sprymenu/customize1.php http://library.creativecow.net/articles/williams_richard/spry_menu_explained.php http://csswizardry.com/demos/centred-nav/dropdown.html

Heard a rumour - register domain for more than 1 year to improve ranking
The tutorials I have been following on YouTube mention this in his SEO video. Seems that if you register for less than a couple of years, the good folks at Google don't take you seriously and may regard you as some sort of scam artist.

horizontal nested menu & animated banner hassles
I've been following createthenet's Dreamweaver series on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMZARc_GdLE. My problems began when I changed his menu with a nested menu. The animation hid the nested menu items. I have replaced both the banner and tried different menus and sliders. Nothing nada. Either the menu is hidden or the banner stops. I have tried Spry, WoW slider, all forms of hand coding with cut 'n' paste. Still nothing. It can be done because this site does exactly what i want to do. http://arduino.org/ . It isn't exactly vital that I have an animated banner but it would be good. Surely some guru out there can help with this. I am not yet 'Live' to show you code but that will be happening in the next day or so for test reasons, rather than being local. Any help GREATLY appreciated on this. Cheers!
