May 2, 201214 yr Ill be short and sweet, USUALLY what way would you prefer to do things? Take a wordpress site for a client as an example, you have the template all done, great, so who puts in the content? Do you ask for this in advance, to be sent to you and then add it for them? Or do you create the template, indicate to them where certain things should go and then let them tear away?
May 2, 201214 yr To keep the answer also short and sweet... it depends on what you're charging them for and what you put in the contract.
May 2, 201214 yr Edit: Bit of a miss read on my part. It's good to know what the content is before the style is down as lots of designs can be restrictive. But normally I'd put it on the site, don't want the client breaking it. Edited May 2, 201214 yr by WBC
May 2, 201214 yr Yeah, what Mike said. All depends what was discussed in the meeting/brief, then written in the contract.
May 2, 201214 yr Author Thanks guys, I didnt know whether to expect those kind answers or else, "What, copy? Im no writer, im a developer!"
May 2, 201214 yr Thanks guys, I didnt know whether to expect those kind answers or else, "What, copy? Im no writer, im a developer!" Unless you're a copywriter then don't create the copy, that is hardly ever (re - NEVER) your job. Ask for it to be sent to you if you have charged to enter content otherwise, if it's a CMS, then run the client through how to enter it.
May 3, 201214 yr First of all we must concentrate on the quality of content and then use the most suitable content management system to put in the website. Choose a CMS as per your business requirement. The content management system you select should be user-friendly and can be easily used to manage, edit, add or delete content whenever needed.
