April 24, 200818 yr Just downloaded Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus to my iPod Touch - now rocking back and forth at my desk at work to it with a big grin on my face!! What songs make you smile and why?
April 24, 200818 yr "Diamonds and Guns" by Transplants — it was on the first CD I ever made for my car after I passed my test, it reminds me of that summer, beautiful weather and happy memories.
April 24, 200818 yr Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry. The first song that I tried to play on my first ever guitar about 20 years ago. Still love the song
April 25, 200818 yr Housequake by Prince - "we're gonna see if we can rock this mutha to the max - and that's a fact!" Vibrate by Rufus Wainwright - "my phone's on vibrate for you" Across the Tracks by Maceo and the Macks - impossible not to dance to this disco classic
April 26, 200818 yr Don't fear the reaper...any version especially the salsa one It is mine and my boyfriends song (as every couple has one) so it just brings back nice memories.
August 28, 200817 yr ooh I have a few...... (all on my ipod ready for when I have a crappy day) Mariah Scary - Anytime you need a friend Toploader - Dancing in the moonlight The Source feat Candi Staton - You got the love and Tin Tin out - Strings for Yasmin - both have lots of nice memories.
August 28, 200817 yr "Scream" by Avenged Sevenfold. "I won't be there" by Simple Plan. "Teenagers" by My Chemical Romance.
August 28, 200817 yr Toploader is a good shout and the undertones teenage kicks is a quality tune. To be honest most music makes me smile!!
August 28, 200817 yr "Because I got high" by Afroman - always makes me giggle! "Is this love" by Whitesnake - because it was, and still is. "Aenema" by Tool - not least because the concept makes me grin ear-to-ear, but also from remembering being at the concert, with several hundred people jumping, punching air and chanting "learn to swim" - an experience not easily forgotten.
August 28, 200817 yr "Gay Bar" by Electric Six - because at the time I spent most of my time bombing around the country in a company car selling software and this tune made the summer great. "Star Wars Cantina" by Wierd Al Jankovic - 'cos it's great. "Tribute" by Tenacious D - they are amazing! Rock hard!!!!! "Your mother's got a penis" by Goldie Lookin' Chain - in fact any of their albums make me smile.
August 28, 200817 yr "Avezes bien" by Fausto Miño (an Ecuadorian singer) just because it's so catchy and upbeat but especially for when he slips out of Spanish and sings, in a very cheesy accent, "avezes mal, sometimes OK". Honestly it's brilliant!
August 28, 200817 yr Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry. The first song that I tried to play on my first ever guitar about 20 years ago. Still love the song Aiiii top tune that one, Chuck Berry was the man along with Bo Diddley.
August 28, 200817 yr Throwing this back in here... "Because I got high" by Afroman - always makes me giggle! Is it Aenema that relates to Hollywood possibly flooding? I also saw Tool live (2 years ago at Download) and I can honestly say that it was one of the best performances I've ever seen, however there were several thousand people around me and I was right at the front in a pit . Also some of Afromans other stuff is pretty funny, one of my housemates and his missus take part in the subject matter quite a bit and put the rest of that album on one day. Anyway for me it'd have to be.. Life without Buildings - The Leanover - I just really like the abstract lyrics and chilled out feel to this song Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth - Nice chilled out feeling again and I can sing along to it Nine Inch Nails - Mr Self Destruct - Just been on my Winamp a lot recently Hansel - Ghost Chase - Same as above There's also now a general music thread .
