December 4, 201114 yr After a long while dithering around I have finally decided on a name and a logo for my website. The name I am going with is: ROBBIE DANTE DEAKIN WEB DESIGN. I have come up with some logos, they are all essentially the same design with some jiggery pokery. They obviously need some tweeking to make them perfect(alignment etc). I was just after your opinion on which one you think I should make the perfect one. Logo 1: Logo 2: Logo 3: Thank You Edited December 4, 201114 yr by RobbieD90
December 4, 201114 yr Author out of the 3 I'm thinking no.2 Thanks Simon, I am going to see what the overall consensus is and then work on it and get everything perfect.

December 4, 201114 yr Author no worries - did you use photoshop or illustrator in the end? To be honest I used Photoshop. I'm still trying to get to grips with illustrator. For now though I have just used PS. Once I have got everything nailed I will definately be using Illustrator though.
December 4, 201114 yr Author Here are the logos in just black and on a white backround Logo 1: Logo 2: Logo 3:

Logo 1: Logo 2: Logo 3: Thank You The first one is cool- The RDD looks a bit like 'rad' which is a cool twist- was that intentional?. I'm after some advice myself- I want to create a website- what's the best programme for me to use- should I use dreamweaver- ive experimented with notebook and some html in that but looking for some advice coz I want it to end up looking professional? but I really am Clueless!
December 5, 201114 yr #2 I'd try to remove R from the logo. Two ooposite DD have more consistent and finished look, IMHO
December 5, 201114 yr go with which one you prefer. if u cant decide then develop it until ur happy with it.
December 5, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the replies. I have decide that Logo 1 Logo 2 is the best and I am working on a couple of things and slightly changing it around a bit to try and make it better. EDIT - I don't have a clue what I am doing. Edited December 5, 201114 yr by RobbieD90

December 5, 201114 yr Author #2I'd try to remove R from the logo. Two ooposite DD have more consistent and finished look, IMHO That idea was a revelation. I new there was something I could do to make it better. Here we go. This is it the final logo design. Is there anything you think I need to tweek before I am finshed? December 6, 201114 yr I'd remove by and then swap the lines as is it shown below: DD ROBBIE DANTE DEAKIN WEB DESIGN - all 3 lines are of the same width, of course.
December 6, 201114 yr Errr... I'd just like to point out that "DD" (as in Double D) is a synonym for large breasts. So that my not be the ideal association for your web design business.

That isn't the name though that is just the logo. DD won't actually ever be mentioned anywhere apart from the logo. The name is ROBBIE DANTE DEAKIN WEB DESIGN. The domain is going to be RDDWEBDESIGN.COM.

December 6, 201114 yr DD does not equate to 'Robbie Dante Deakin' in my mind. Seems a bit odd. If you are sure you want to go with the DD than maybe make the name: 'Deakin Designs' or something that ties in better
December 6, 201114 yr Kinda Rorschach test. I must admit - breasts isn't what popped into my mind! naughty spitfire
December 6, 201114 yr 3D = Dante Deakin Design On to something here. 'Adding dimension to your brand' Blahhh
December 6, 201114 yr 'Adding dimension to your brand' Well said. Copyrighting can be your bread and butter.
December 6, 201114 yr I must admit - breasts isn't what popped into my mind! naughty spitfire LOL! Fair enough. It was just me then. I'll go back to my perverted corner!

December 6, 201114 yr Come on Oak are you winding me up? Sorry bud! Seriously, I think you are onto something with the deakin designs or dante deakin designs etc
December 6, 201114 yr Author Sorry bud! Seriously, I think you are onto something with the deakin designs or dante deakin designs etc No worries. I like the idea of Dante Deakin Designs. I am so indecisive it gets on my nerves. I have hummed and harred about this name for ages and never once thought of simply dropping my first name.

It can be like that, especially when you are starting out - just pick one you like best and run with it. Everyone here seems to be behind it. Sometimes it makes it harder when it is for your own site rather than another job - I think we have all been there at some point. Edited December 6, 201114 yr by oakleaves
