Hi all, I'm fairly new to this site and just wanted to get some feedback on my personal portfolio website. http://www.clkdigital.co.uk

It's probably the most difficult thing to design... being my own client is pretty difficult. I wanted something simple that would allow my work to speak for itself. Think I've acheived that but not too sure to be honest. Don't diss the carousels they are staying :-)

Yeah def needs more work... I'm just not sure how lol.

Id keep the purples but change it up a bit, go look at the mercedes CLK for inspiration (using the letters in your name) or even the newer replaced E Class Coupe for design elements to build into it, just a though but when I saw CLK i thought of the car...

1. I would remove all 3d effects from the logo and make it a bit bigger.

2. I'd try to increase 'polka dot' area and rotate it on 10-30 degs clockwise.

I like Lev's idea of rotating the polka dots with an slight angle, breaks up the horizontal feel a bit.

Personally I would change the "tabbed" navigation and make prettier buttons, the tabbed looks does not work anymore unless with great design and function.

You should also consider @font or a similar service so you can actually make your logo purely with CSS, could do with perhaps some text-shadow to create a bit of depth on the page.

I do like the basic concept, and nice color used, although it looks a bit too flat, and a bit like an older site due to the tabbed navigation.

You could also do with a footer.

P.
