Lol that's 4 different websites! Consistency within website design is very important. Certain elements should stay the same, normally that's the header - logo and navigation - and footer.

Hi all, I'm fairly new to this site and just wanted to get some feedback on my personal portfolio website. http://www.clkdigital.co.uk It's probably the most difficult thing to design... being my own client is pretty difficult. I wanted something simple that would allow my work to speak for itself. Think I've acheived that but not too sure to be honest. Don't diss the carousels they are staying :-)

Dreamweaver isn't the "beginners build your own website" tool everyone thinks it is. Don't use the design view to create your layout, make sure you do everything in the code view so you learn as you're going along. The design view is meant to preview your changes. Agree with the "ADD TO CART" comment, form a design point of view I think it's really nice and clean. In terms of usability you need a much clearer call to action, a button with "buy now" in it always helps. I would also consider using a lighbox for product detail, so the user isn't taken away from the listings. This means they wont have to rely on the back button to get back to where they came from. Love the logo!

As you're only 14 I would say well done! Here are a couple of tips... 1 - Don't ever use comic sans :-) it's evil. 2 - The client is NOT always right. A big part of being a web designer is learning to politely argue with clients and educate them, because mostly clients have no taste. In the end they won't thank you if the site looks rubbish, even if they specifically asked for it. 3 - For some more web safe fonts check out google fonts, http://www.google.com/webfonts it takes a bit of work to get them working but might save you from comic sans. 4 - Go easy on the wood patterns... it's difficult to make a good website with wood patterns. Keep it clean and simple and it will be easier to make it look professional.

I'm not keen on the wood pattern background. Maybe it's a personal opinion thing, but I think the site wold look much better if you consider getting rid of the wood... I understand why you used it, there are a lot of funky wood backgrounds around http://desizntech.info/2009/07/30-beautiful-wood-inspired-websites-and-200-woody-resources/ However the majority of those sites are more collage based, so all the elements have a similar natural real-life style. Your site has a nice clean style that is at odds with your background.

If you want to live in London you need to be filthy stinkin rich. Simple as. It's one of the most expensive cities in the world. if you're happy to live outside London then it's a lot cheaper. Have a look at www.rightmove.co.uk for property prices.
