Gaming site

Featured Replies

Hi,

Me and my friend have planned out a gaming community over the last 6 months, and we really can not think of a decent logo.

We were just wondering if any of you would create some designs to give us some ideas. Its up to you to make it for us as there is no pay involve, just wanted to make that clear.

Website is called Anything Games with ps3 xbox360 and pc sections.

Thanks in advance danny.

I have been working on these type of website but on hold at the moment, Making websites for other people.

Gaming walkthroughs, Achievement guides, Podcasts, Epic online moments. Some think on though's lines I assume ?

When im not making websites Im always on the Xbox 360, i have a passion for games.

so danny, you want us to design a group of logo's for your gaming website so you can get some idea's on what the logos would look like? do you want us to maybe mock up a layout for the website too? cos the logo would look much more realistic if it was sitting on a website. how many logo's do you want me to do up?

Quit your moaning. He offered to do it. It's only to make the logo look realistic on a layout. I'm doing the layout myself.

Be nice or GTFO!

hey

i am working on it now. i'll get back to you as soon as posisble with something. i think i have a great concept. what colours do u want?

I'm not sure, but I think they were being sarcastic. Designers in general dislike being asked to do stuff for free; it insinuates that our profession is not valuable enough to charge.

If you really want to see something put together, you should put together a reasonable budget and hire one person/agency to do it.

If people really want to work for free, that's great, but more often than not designers find that offensive and respond in kind.

ok here is my idea. i used the colours to make the logo more colourful and i used a strong bold font so that the logo has a strong bold style. i used the tag line underneath the name so that the people can see what the business does. i think it helps for the people to be able to see straight away waht it is and then they will know that its a game website and cos the colours are so strong that they will see it straight away and they'll know its one of the best games sites around.

your ability to sense sarcasm has as much fail as a paraplegic trying to put on a wrist watch.

Alzer's post did seem sarcastic but that's only due to the fact that you wouldn't normally get that sheer level of generosity.

Looking forward to seeing the product as a PS3 gamer myself :)

Thanks. I will need some testers too to look for bugs on the site etc... Anyone who helps gets free membership for a limited time

thats rubbish. u didnt even spell it right. and the colours are wrong. plus its not very professionalistic

yeah but look how i relate to the target audience - i even drew it with a mouse

you used the text tool, that a bitch tactic too and you know it

do you have it in vector format incase he wishes to use it on his business cards or brochures etc?

ok you got me there

i am a complete failure as a profesionalistic designer.

I'm guessing that was a very clever deliberate thing on Alzer's part. It's "Patois" - you know the way the young kids speak like fake Ganstahs - "Anyt'ing". It's a subliminal thing designed to make it appealing to the young generation.

I think apart from the letter spacing which could do with some work, that's a brilliant logo. If it was me though I would have put something like "Fo Schizzle" on the bottom just to add a bit of class.

no it was a spelling error. i amn't great with spelling. also, i think there might be some spelling errers on the tagline too. damn sake. i am so crap. i hate designing. i hate it. i know thats a really cool logo but sometimes i just really hate it. i wish i wasnt so bloody professionalistic sometimes. i have to go now, my mam is callin me. i have to unpack the dishwasher. when i get back i'll see if i can do up a website for you. i dont think i need to code it. just put the logo over it and make it real slick and cool. i think it will look really slick and cool.

I could do teh speshul magick codingz to go with teh logo!

I have a copy of frontpage from 2002 lying around somewhere. It works really well on IE5.5.

Alzer - no need actually I have a better method. Just send me the logo in a word doc and I'll change the file extension to ".htm". We shall then form a partnership and spam loads of forums offering to undercut everyone else. We can start every post with "Hello Sir, we would be interested in working with you" and we could provide a hotmail email address for people to contact us on.

I could even make your logo into an animated blinking .gif if I have time.

i did my logo . i am going to putit on my protfolio now. i think its lovely and is very professionalistic

+1 for 'protfolio'

hey

so do you want me to do another few logos or not? im starting to think ur a bit ungrateful and u other people are mocking us
