hey people. Been messing around with the new jQuery just from today. so far I made this just to mess around with. slideshow Couple of things, I cant get the pictures to slide and also the buttons look very pixelated. Will be thankful for the help, thank you. HTML <div id="slideshow"> <ul> <li id="img1"><a href="#"><img src="images/slideshow/img1.jpg" alt="first picture" /></a></li> <li id="img2"><a href="#"><img src="images/slideshow/img2.jpg" alt="second picture" /></a></li> <li id="img3"><a href="#"><img src="images/slideshow/img3.jpg" alt="third picture" /></a></li> </ul> </div> <div id="slideshow-nav"> <ul> <li><a href="#img1">picture1</a></li> <li><a href="#img2">picture2</a></li> <li><a href="#img3">picture3</a></li> </ul> </div> CSS #slideshow { width: 300px; height: 300px; overflow: scroll; overflow-y: hidden; box-shadow: 0px 0px 80px #000; -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 80px #000; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 80px #000; margin-top: 40px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-left: auto; } #slideshow ul { width: 1500px; list-style: none; } #slideshow ul li { float: left; } #slideshow-nav { width: 250px; visibility: hidden; margin-top: 0; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 200px; margin-left: auto; } #slideshow-nav ul { list-style: none; } #slidshow-nav ul li { float: left; } #slideshow-nav ul li a { display: block; width: 30px; height: 30px; background-colour: #fff; text-indent: -9999px; border-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius: 30px; -webkit-border-radius: 30px; box-shadow: 0px 0px 30px #000; -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 30px #000; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 30px #000; margin-top: 0; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 0; margin-left: 10px; float: left; } #slideshow-nav ul li a:hover, #slideshow-nav ul li a.active { background-color: #a89d8a; } jQuery $(document).ready(function() { $("#slideshow").css("overflow", "hidden"); $("#slideshow-nav").css("visibility", "visible"); $("#slideshow a(href=#img1]").addClass("active"); $("#slideshow-nav").localScroll({ target: '#slideshow', axis: 'x' }); $("#slideshow-nav a").click(function(){ $("#slideshow-nav a").removeClass("active"); $(this).addClass("active"); }); }); regards

I Cheated and I'm Sorry
Hi guys this is about the thread I made yesterday http://www.webdesignerforum.co.uk/topic/51465-sweat-blood-guts/ I'm here to say I am very sorry and I have only let me self down, I've been at work all day and have been on here through my lunch hours. I have felt guilty all day about nicking the ideas from such a wonderful website of mattimling.com I wanted to pick up some ideas from other freelance web designers and I just took the p**s a bit I hope this doesn't make me a bad person but I have surely learnt my lesson, My website www.b3webstudio.com has been taken back a few steps and I'm keeping the way it is from now. I promise you guys that my header has always been the same so I do not feel I should take that down at all, I've always had the dashed lines as It keeps the website in a very neat condition. Id like to make an apology to a member "alzer81", I was wrong what I said and the way I reacted. I hope in the future you could give me some good advice and ideas, And I also love your website.(I'm not going to nick it lol) I would also like to give an apology to any other members I had a go at or the way I reacted. Moving on from that, As you can see my Nav-Bar. When you hover over the links you can see a underscore underneath, I would really like to make that a slider.. How would I do that ? (Im guessing that is with jQuery ?..) Adam

Ouch.. I like how matt did with the intro/portfolio font and his graph. Apart from that, I don't remember taking anything else from him. But I understand what you are all saying. You guys may have learnt web design in Uni by ive been learning on my own PC from scratch, trying to turn a new leaf. So plz give me a break, I am still learning with CSS and Web Design.
