Oh god after the amount of times this one got slated i think i'll leave illustration to the experts :p

If you're only setting up hosting for your own clinets (ie not selling to Joe Public) then have a think about using one "package" as a base then customising each client according to their needs. If you start down the package route you could find yourself hitting your resource limits very quickly even though most of it isn't used.

Here's a suggestion:

Set up one package with the absolute minimum an account might need, eg 50mb disk space, 500mb bandwidth, 1 database ( you could leave email bits as unlimited but that's up to you).

When you create a new account that needs more simply set them up on the base plan then manually adjust disk space/bandwidth/databases according to what they need, and adjust your selling price accordingly.

If an existing client needs more resources you can then charge for "upgrades". By doing it this way you can maximise revenue for every mb of space and gb of data transfer.

Again, you're selling online and are using crapply old PayPal. Hardly gives a good impression does it. Why haven't you got a mercahnt account yet, to allow processing of transactions directly on your site.

If I weas signing up to a host and got transferred to payPal to pay I'd lol and go elsewhere. It sends out all the wrong signals.

Fair enough, have a PayPal as an option, at a push, but not as your only payment method.

I disagree.

A large proportion of my customers ask for the ability to have Paypal as an option, i always let them know that i'll have to charge a % on top for costs and 90% are fine with this. If that's an option that people want, then give it to them.
