Money from Social Media

Featured Replies

yes, not me personally but I've managed to get a few of my clients on the social media band wagon and it has made a dramatic impact.

the people in my signature and a company who makes somerset cider have seen the best results... they have quirkey products so Recommendations from friends in social media setting has helped alot

If used right they can be a good marketing tool, which in turn will make you money. As SniderDK has said its really about getting a buzz going and making people want to recommend you though social media.

Making money from just social media would be interesting to see, though I'd imagine that being a lot harder than creating a buzz around a product. Not saying its impossible, I just don't know how to go about it.

I've used Facebook for various marketing campaigns - for a local band, for a local football team, for local charities and community groups.

Do you spot the theme here...

The vast majority of most Facebook friends will be local ones.

so i generally only use it for local campaigns..

Ya yes,I agree with SniderDK,Bcoz Social media optimization is one of the part of Search engine optimization Internet marketing.

I am just going to make make money from facebook! I also interested in this information.

if you can make a facebook fan page that has a funny enough name for thousands/millions of people to join (and this is possible within just a week!) then you can advertise your links to millions of people at once... and even be paid to post links...

It depends on your approach. I could ramble on all day on SMM but the main crux of the matter is (for me) is to post as a person, not a business.

People buy from people!

Facebook provides great demographics and a beautiful ad interface but I personally feel that it's money better spent on Google Adwords...

I have been trying to make money from these places but I failed many times, I'm not able to choose the products which should be marketed on these sites.

I have made money from Twitter. Made about $1000 a year or so ago via affiliate marketing but with all the spamming going on these days its hard. Back two years ago SocialOomph and a few other sites allowed you to automate things in a neat way. Twitter came down hard on that and its all but stopped now. That's not to say people are not making money but the time you have to put into it does not really give you a good ROI.

Facebook can be hard as people don't like you sending them offers etc and will no doubt unfriend you if you do it through a normal Facebook acct. Facebook pages and groups are better for this but take time to build up.
