You may see alot of Template/Demo websites using text starting with Lorem Ipsum. It's basically Latin Filler text and looks alot better than having, Text here Text here Text here...etc etc through out your design.

 

You can download a generator here and specify, Paragraphs, Words, Bytes and Lists. Alot faster than actually learning Latin!

Hey, thanks for the link Ben, I was looking for that, I had found the site the other day and forgot where I found it. Anyway, I agree, it is much better than "text here text here text here" stuff used for templates and demos, it looks so much more like actual content than gibberish.

I use this text all the time - first used it in college.

i too have saved five paras of lipsum in a text file generated from lipsum.com and use it in all my projects.

ive been looking for somewhere where i can download a generator for when im not online. yipee.

I used it back in high school because I was too lazy to write the complete description for the layout. Now I just write the layout, gives it more of a professional look. But when you are just coding the layout, lore ipsum is the best place holder.

I love lorem ipsum in its glory.

 

Its supposed to stop clients been distracted from the design, but the amount of times they say, " its not in english."

I'll use some PHP and it will be utter drivel, so people cant say "Its not in English"
