Review my tutorial website

Featured Replies

I'm guessing/hoping it's not complete.

What is the unique selling point of it? What does it offer that W3schools doesn't?

First thing of concern is the name... I'd check the rules about naming as it could well be seen as "passing off". i.e. that you are trying to pass yourself off as w3schools or an associate of them. They might not be too happy, especially when you compare the 2 sites... a bit too similar?!?!

Sorry - just a friendly word of warning.

It may similar but i'm writing here i'm putting the materials on my learning experiences. All the matters are on learning notes managed sequentially only. I don't think what would be on other, I'll try to give the good way which i know. I would like to give in future all the things which we can provide on online. all the languages are available in future. Recently building and uploading it. it is continuous process, will never ends....

Recently i've removed the banner and added facebook like button. How is it looks like...

The search bar is broken in FF on mac - and generally the layout is very blank - almost as if a stylesheet is missing..

Not a great site if I am being honest - and also, you may want to remove your little 'valid xhtml and css' text in the bottom right until you have fixed those 21 errors ;)

Sorry, but is this site to be providing html & css tutorials?

the search is broken in Chrome as well, it goes outside of the banner to the right.

thank you for support and hope continue tooo

If you're going to offer advise and tutorials for beginners then you need explain what each tag does and why its used. There is no point putting a few html tags in a list and saying "you can build a page - here is an example" as its meaningless and gives no reaon why those tags are used and what those tags mean and do. They can learn to do their own if you dont tell someone that the page must start with <html> or that <h1> is a heading and <p> is a paragraph and why that is used rather than <body> etc etc ...

I guess its the missing content that zed mentioned ..

Also in your html tutorial you have "paraghraph" instead of "paragraph".

I clicked open minded, I closed fed up within milliseconds.

You need to go back to square one I think, layout is OK but visuals are none existent. I know it's suppose to be tutorials however it certainly looks to formal and, well to put it honestly, boring.

I have to agree with Daz. You need to nail the design first as it looks like your in the process of developing something that is being put together as you go, hence why its lacking visually at the moment.

they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but w3schools.com aren't going to be too impressed (or worried). At least if you're going to copy their format and tutorials don't exclude parts that make sense.

I’m not trying to sound harsh here but…. You can’t expect people to take advice and use tutorials on a site that is not working correctly or even validates.

If you are keen to have a tutorial site then you need to finish it 100% “off line” and then upload for people, not work on it as alive site.

Sorry to be blunt but it has a lot of work required.
