August 3, 201016 yr Hi Guys... I recently made a WP theme and I uploaded it to "Theme Forest" and they said it didn't meet the criteria. So anyone know any websites out there were I can upload my WP theme to and sell it on.. Cheers.
August 3, 201016 yr If you post a watermarked screenshot for us to have a look at we may be able to give you an idea as to why it was rejected.

August 3, 201016 yr Here is a screenshot CLICK Oi. Isn't "You'll never walk alone" Liverpool's slogan and anthem? :S As for your question, is the code valid? Because that's probably the most common rejection (invalid code).
August 3, 201016 yr Author Oi. Isn't "You'll never walk alone" Liverpool's slogan and anthem? :S As for your question, is the code valid? Because that's probably the most common rejection (invalid code). Yea although Celtic sing it aswell.. Yeah Its valid I created it from scratch.
August 3, 201016 yr Author are they allowed to sell a template with the celtic logo ect on? That isn't the celtic logo its a four leaf clover..
August 5, 201016 yr maybe they just think its **** then Wow. If you have nothing constructive to say, don't say anything. A correct way of saying what you said without being childishly insulting would have been "Maybe it just isn't up to their standards," which maybe it isn't, a lot of the themes there are really, really good. @finnan3, did you take the "Author Quiz", http://themeforest.net/wiki/selling/author-selling/author-program/ Make sure you followed all of that. Also didn't know Celtic sand You'll Never Walk Alone, cool.
August 5, 201016 yr take a step back. Have a look at what Themeforest have for sale, have a look at what you can get free from Wordpress then look and be honest about what you've done and ask would you buy it.

It's not up to standard. It looks like something you'd be able to get for free; so spruce it up a bit and try again .
August 6, 201016 yr I'd have to agree with Zed. It's not up to standard. It looks like something you'd be able to get for free; so spruce it up a bit and try again . I do agree, I just don't agree with the way Ste Hughes put it in the first place, that was just plain nasty.
August 6, 201016 yr Author Yeah I took the quiz otherwise I wouldn't of been able to upload it I don't think..but fair enough on comments guys. Im not worried what Ste Hughes has said he probably hasn't even hit puberty yet with comments like that.
August 7, 201016 yr Milk, chocolate and lemonade are all missing from the design. Really i have no idea why they refused it. maybe a touch bias. maybe i'm a design snob. maybe it's something else. In all seriousness, doesn't seem like the type of theme you would find on themeforest, saying that though i've browsed it like once. Maybe try something more neutral.
August 7, 201016 yr I thinks its to do with its not good enough, maybe to basic and not worth the effort or there is plenty of others similar and better, but don't let it stop you.
August 7, 201016 yr http://www.designers-paradise.co.uk is a clients website which sells things like themeforest
August 7, 201016 yr Hey Finnan3! Let me offer my 2 cents. Themeforest is currently largest market for this kind of products. By no means do I have a strictly positive opinion about it. It is very hard for new author to find his place in it as requirements grow by the time. If you check earlier products of some of top selling authors you will see that they are average at best, comparing to todays standards. Most of them didn't even had a working contact form, which is a must now. Further more, market takes a larger portion of selling cake (60% for new authors) and in return offering nothing but market itself, no preview hosting or some free marketing. You are not forced to offer support, but if you do not, you can't hope to make a lot of sales. Now, no one really knows how reviewers do the process of review. My best guess is that they do it very subjectively. They check overall look and test some functionalities (does the theme work when javascript is turned off, for example). Your theme is a good starting point, but I feel that you should work on it some more. There is a certain theme type that sells well. Mostly the same, slider in index page and 3 column layout etc. Also, you should include some more color schemes, if you haven't done so.
