August 30, 200917 yr Hi Everyone, Lil proposal for you. I have been toying with the idea as of late to setup some sort of Web Design radio - obviously plans, program lists etc need to be drawn up etc. I also hold the appropriate licenses to stream live copyrighted audio - IE music. The possibilities of this are potentially huge if this is marketed correctly and attracts the interest of companies, forums and blogs. Especially if creatie advice, exclusive interviews and prizes were offered. This would be a very serious project and I could not run it on my own. I guess what I am asking if if anyone at all would be interested in A. Listening to it and B. If people would be willing to assist with this. Anyone at all interested?
August 30, 200917 yr Sounds like a awesome idea! I would love to help but I don't think I would be able to. But I would definitely listen!
August 30, 200917 yr It certainly sounds interesting... Are you thinking of broadcasting just at certain times, or looping the stuff that's produced day in day out? Can I ask if you've considered doing a "podcast" format?
August 30, 200917 yr Author This would be a live stream accessible via web, media player or anythign that has the ability to access and stream via the web. Initially looping the actual interviews etc would probably work best - but obviously only once or twice - then new material would go live - essentially thigns could either be pre recorded says before live broadcast, hours or minutes as well as live. Audio wise we could have a specific set of time in the gap between old and new programs where music was selected and broadcast. However there are license requirements which must be met when repeating songs etc within a certain period of time which we would have to make sure we didn't breach. As more interest gathered etc we could look into doing more and more stuff live - especially if we picked up contributors from the US etc.
August 30, 200917 yr Would be interested in doing something, as do the odd bit of community radio. Depends on the equipment required.
August 30, 200917 yr Author Microphone and an interweb connection for doing pre-recorded stuff. Backend interface to upload and prepare stuff would also be provided. Anyone looking to be a presenter would have to record down which music they played (if applicable). We also have the ability and resources to get listed via iTunes for convenience and teh following countries are covered: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Rep, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, , Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom and Uruguay.
August 31, 200917 yr Best idea i've heard in aggggggeeees. Sounds like well good fun. Be nice if you could couple some of the broadcasts with video content showing different web design related features, or maybe a direct link to the dj's desktop at certain times so he can run some reviews off or something, short tutorials perhaps.
