April 13, 200917 yr Hello I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, as it's a forum I would like people to look at, not a website, and it's not the design I'm asking about, as my lovely man Notbanksy will be helping me with that It's really just to ask if it makes sense or not? There's a lot that needs to go onto it, and I'm trying to look at it as though I'm not hugely involved but....it's not really working! And my brain, which is usually a little is now on a hyper crazy setting. I'm not dyslexic in the most widely known sense of the word, but I do have some issues with the connections and I just don't think in a structured logical way - unlike Mr. Notbanksy - I guess that's what makes it work, I'm nuts and disorganised and he is calm, cool and organised! - for you my lovely. Ok, here's the link: http://www.lastangel.org.uk/forum Now you will see what my poor husband has to put up with!!! Thank you Notmrsbanksy
April 13, 200917 yr Personally, I just think there is to many sections there! If it were me, I would reduce it to four sections with no more than five sub sections in each.
April 13, 200917 yr Hey! It looks very fresh and clean looking, the purple and silver go very well together. As caraewilton pointed out - there are quite a lot of sections and when starting out with a forum the general rule of thumb is to start small and build out otherwise it can appear to be empty, and may even work against you, but at the end of the day it's all down to you - If you think you can build out those sections then cool As with most new forums, the hardest part is getting traffic, so make sure for the start you are creating lot's of topics and perhaps get some friends to register and reply to build up and also so you appear busier. (Or get Mr notbanksy to create multiple accounts and pose as other posters?) - just for the time being until a steady flow of traffic builds up. Be sure to spread the word as often as you can and maybe try and build some link partnerships with similar websites (link exchange perhaps?) - or offer some forum exposure in return for a blog post on a popular horse/pet website. If you need any more help shoot me a message
April 13, 200917 yr Do you know why, when you click on a sub-forum, the width of the page goes from full screen width to 750 px? It gets a bit annoying changing screen widths as you navigate through the forum
April 13, 200917 yr Do you know why, when you click on a sub-forum, the width of the page goes from full screen width to 750 px?It gets a bit annoying changing screen widths as you navigate through the forum I agree, that is very annoying Also it's a shame the main website and forum are not in the same style On the main website, I didn't realise there was a menu down the right hand side, it's rather out of position
April 13, 200917 yr Not too bad, it will just take a while to get enough traffic to fill all of those sections, you should divide it up and then create more as your website becomes more popular.

It gets a bit annoying changing screen widths as you navigate through the forum Hahahahahahaaaaaa Nero - thank you for pointing that out! I hadn't even noticed and I've been messing about with it for ages now (granted, mostly locally, not on the web, but it's still unforgivable). I need more sleep!

I hadn't even noticed and I've been messing about with it for ages now (granted, mostly locally, not on the web, but it's still unforgivable).I need more sleep! Never mind love, even you make mistakes sometimes! Thank you for the advice everyone! Much appreciated. I've taken some of the sections out, but probably still need to take a few more out, it's just more difficult now! Now for the horrible spammage! I don't really want to wake up and log in (like I did this morning) to find pictures of horrible men and women's bits all over my horse rescue forum!!
