February 12, 200917 yr I think I posted this link a while back, when it was just a holding page... We now have a full site with a new look for you to cast your eyes on! www.chameleonbar.co.uk Your thoughts??
February 12, 200917 yr Pretty cool site, nice blend of CSS, JQuery and Flash. Trendy and vibrant look and feel with some cool features... will do a good job in attracting customers for sure!
February 12, 200917 yr Like it, nice to see a colour slider put to effective use - it doesn't detract from the rest of the design at all, well done!
February 12, 200917 yr The galley is broken and it leaks onto the what's happening page causing the text to be unreadable in Firefox... It also has a shocking 915 errors in the html and a few in the css too. So you might want to sort them out as you say on your own website: Accessible web design and websites Accessibility is about making your web site freely accessible to all visitors in accordance with the World Wide Web consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Accessible web design is also about ensuring that your web site is accessible to users of all platforms and browsers. So as you haven't even used alt tags you are failing on something you claim you do as standard.
February 12, 200917 yr Like the design looks very modern. Your navigation seems to be loading in the middle of the page over the text for some reason with me? :S
February 12, 200917 yr Like the design looks very modern. Your navigation seems to be loading in the middle of the page over the text for some reason with me? :S I seem to have the same problem, it seems to be like it for the first 3 pages, then moves to top on rest, is it meant to be like this, is isa this a probelm you need to fix? Except from that, very nice site
February 13, 200917 yr Hi The website looks fabulous, because the mood is captured to perfection. Everything takes time to furnish correctly. All the logo needs is blowing up a touch. Good luck.
February 20, 200917 yr The Navigation is showing up in the middle of the page for me too.. quite like the design though
February 20, 200917 yr A bit too much going on for my liking and as has already been mentioned the nav moves all over the place.
February 20, 200917 yr Hi, Not a big fan of dark sites, but I like this. I completely agree with Dizi though, 915 errors is quite shocking. It's your phuse system. Needs sorting badly.
February 21, 200917 yr I found it to be fantastic. Do you use an editor that actually passes w3c standards. Every site I've seen has been up to strict standards and yet not even the BBC do that, apart from the front page. I'm going to open Opera now and have another look.
February 21, 200917 yr i'd guess they use & own this http://www.phusecms.co.uk/ considering they plug it on the site.
February 21, 200917 yr OOPS, 915 errors; here is one of them. Line 1141, Column 191: element "BR" undefined. …y Buffalo Riot<BR><STRONG>Tuesdays<BR></STRONG>Acoustic Mafia with Dave o’Gra ✉ You have used the element named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not define an element of that name. This error is often caused by: incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Frameset" document type to get the "<frameset>" element), by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "<spacer>" or "<marquee>" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead). by using upper-case tags in XHTML (in XHTML attributes and elements must be all lower-case). Just like the BBC.
February 21, 200917 yr most code editors allow you to highlight everything, and make it lower case. That'll remove tons of errors
February 21, 200917 yr Nice design tho very dark. Unfortunately the content is all garbled both in IE and ff, exapmle, the menu bar is in the center of the browser on both instead of under the headr/logo.
February 21, 200917 yr It's in html, so if they look at the code carefully they could remove the <BR> and replace with <p></p> or <br/> and a lot of errors will disappear, the remaining ones requiring a bit of thought. I have a search box that had over 500 errors and it took me about a week to put right. addendum: Nesting is a serious consideration, no way are you going to fix this with a clever editor, you will have to examine it line by line. The design of the site is fantastic though.
