  1. Been creating a portfolio for myself and have had a alight hiccup which I would like to fix. On Windows FF and Chrome the nav is 1px too low, however in IE and all browsers on Mac it looks fine, could you please have a look and offer any fixes? Lukeday.net
  2. I want to create a product property site that has pages of information on different houses, flats etc. Is there a way to do this where the information is stored somewhere else and called upon when that item is searched? Is it possible using MySQL and php or something like that? Any links to tutorials would be nice if you don't know exactly how its done. Thanks in advance.
  3. I have a section on my site which i wish to be able to change and subsiquently change every page with that same content, is there a way to do this without php or an iframe?
  4. Hey, Before I posted the design of this site, asking for opinions, here it is in HTML/CSS/JS form. It is currently being held at: http://www.alternativestuff.co.uk Some things you should know: Only hompeage has been created Some fonts might change with help of http://webfonts.fonts.com/ Website header image is going to be chanegd into text and under a <h1> tag I am also contemplating a subtle background, any ideas?
  5. I completely agree with above, also think you need to spice up the navigation a bit, maybe distinguish it from the header, and add some space in between the society name and the nav.
  6. That sounds like a good plan, will come back later with the coded version.
  7. Would attend but I'm back at university then, gutted!
  8. Thanks, I completely agree. I have edited it, incorperating the scout theme, however I need to find a way to integrate photos, i.e of the group and activites conducted by the group. Attached is version 0.2
  9. I created this website for a local scout group, but was curious of others opinions before I went further with the site. old site
  10. yeah that sounds like a cool idea, got any tutorials for 2 tier navigation as I have not had a need to use it before?
  11. The old site is temporarily help over at [scout Site]
  12. Sorry, I was under the impression I had uploaded Screenshot. Will upload the site later when I have my hosting sorted out.
  13. thanks, I forgot about lookingthrough templates for some inspiration but I need some ideas to manage the silly amount of content on the site and make it alot more user friendly.
  14. Hey all. I have been asked to redesign the website for a local scout group, but when they gave me their old site and showed me the amount of information that was on it, I almost fainted. This site has way too much content, too many pages and too much nothing. This all left me with a hurt head and no idea which direction I would go with it. [This is the scout site] Please, any inspiration and all will be greatly rewarded (with my humble apprecaiation). Thanks in advance!
  15. Nice update to your site Josh, looks a lot better than last time you showed it me! although i do agree with the italics comment.
