  1. Fair enough. I won't bother here any more.
  2. SO if we post it, you're not going to rip it to shreds? And if we REFUSE to post it, you're not going to tear us to shreds. The moderators of this board are useless... they talk about being on topic. But they have allowed this thread to become a personal attack. We're not going to give key information about our CMS away because it is private company information and if people want to know they can purchase CMS. IF not, move on. Even if we do post it, it will go on and on and become even more of a personal attack on us. I am happy to admit if I am wrong, and perhaps I was wrong to say 'ours is better' but if I don't believe in our product then who will? Further more, I am going to defend myself, my company and my product and probably reacted a little strongly. I know Andry is right about core elements of the word press not being safe, and we had ours checked last year to fix similiar issues. Maybe there are now issues, maybe not. BUT I can't see either way we can win because you lot have decided its pitch forks time, and you are going to hunt us out. If we post our CMS you will tear it up IF we don't you will. So its a win lose situation for Andrey and me, I just know now not to have opinion on this forum.
  3. that's fair enough that's an adult dignified response thanks (no sarcasm)
  4. I've quoted what I feel offensive. I hardly deem my opinion that word press isn't great as a CMS offensive. But its OK to offend me because I think it's not the greatest thing in the world. That seems a little unfair to me.
  5. The only reason all these guys are saying its great is cause they use it. It's no different from me saying mine is great cause I use that. Frankly, some of the things on this thread should be stopped out right by MODS, where are they? I've even reported a post on here, for basically questionining my professionalism by stating that I sit on forums because I can't do it myself. Any one who has worked with me locally knows that I have worked damn hard to get where I am today. And I am a professional. My business partner Digi, (andrey to me) has tried to state to you why he thinks its less secure than ours- if you're not willing to listen then that's not really our problem. I was only working on the information I was given, and whether its correct or not, we're entitled to our opinion and I sure as hell am not going to be bullied by a bunch of school boys. Gibson, I recommend you read all the thread in the future before trying to state I am making a personal attack against someone. I was asked why I thought it, and I answered, and now I have been mocked and spoken down to. Not once have I said word press is rubbish, I just think its a blogging tool and at most, a cms to be used for smaller websites. I would not the world of me launch a client with a sensitive database on wordpress or a client who wished to sell products online. It's my opinion deal with it, don't attack and don't talk down to people. If I didn't believe in the product we sell and was selling word press I'd probably be a really rubbish sales person for my business, too. Charlotte
  6. Read the thread Mate, that was made about me in an earlier thread and that's why I wrote it.
  7. I don't sit on a forum making noise, I have a business to run. I can't really be bothered with a personal attack, SO I won't bother with this thread anymore.
  8. No offense guys but I'm entitled to my opinion. You need to bare that in mind. I know our CMS is better, end of story. I don't need to prove it, I merely tried to answer the argument, the best way to prove my point is to hack a word press site but that's illegal. So really, I could never win char
  9. add a more complex form so only the people really interested in a project would bother to fill it out.... and for those lazy clients an email link, you'll be able to tell the real clients from the phony/time wasters.
  10. Hosting for clients is a nightmare. I wish I'd never offered it cause I recently lost two clients over it (to be fair they were be a complete pain in the butt over it all) Unless you are selling those templates> buy/host systems I wouldn't bother. char
  11. 1. Our cms is not open source, was rewritten from another cms with permission and he has been able to adopt it for security- also with open source hackers can download latest versions and find weak areas. 2.Also we don't use mysql injections - all code written properly. 3. Only the latest version of wordpress has all the fixes etc how many people regularly update their software? making it vunerable. 4. we don't use plug in's, we custom code elements we need so we know they are secure. If using 3rd parties how do we know how safe, secure, good they are? 5. If you google ways to hack Wordpress there are about 47,100,000 results.... Hope that is enough char
  12. no one has forgotten that, i dont think the poster specifically posted to know about the pre-design stage.
  13. yep but i prefer to use this
  14. The design is a bit too much like a lot of other web designers out there, I'm afraid. I don't really feel like you can compete with your competitors with this website but you'll probably find a fair amount of work. To sum up, I think you can do better, char
  15. yep could see the electric bolt but not the R work on making it more 'R' like and i think you'll be there.
  16. the eye is drawn to the right, you want people to LOOK at the products- just a thought.
  17. don't understand the question, i was just making a suggestion to improve it, personally, it doesn't bother me as it is now.
  18. that's alot of effort if you ask me. send a nice mail shot, with some nice design elements, that will be enough to convince them if you're good enough
  19. I thought if you submit a sitemap to google eventually it indexes the pages. You can also set which links to appear in search/not appear in google web master tools.
  20. nice frame work.... but you are NOT selling those products, try images on right, give them a border, maybe a title over the image....
  21. I think a simple navigation bar at the very top of the browser with some nice leaves/font will be pretty. very good site.
  22. great post above +1
  23. sent a mail campaign out friday already had a call back from it. if you have a free uk landline calls why not cold call? i dont see a problem. the thing is for me; i find it very impersonal and annoying. 5/10 you're not going to speak to the person who runs the business and I think it seems a bit desperate unless of course you're running one of those award winning development agencies.
