  1. Check this to figure out how to get HTML to validate: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&am...-lessons.com%2F And this for CSS validation: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validat...-lessons.com%2F I also think that the colors are bland and need to be replaced. The layout is good and the idea of using gradients where you did is good. I also think that you could probably use your photography more to improve the initial feeling of the site. Maybe use SlideShowPro to show off some things or something.
  2. Cool site. I think that it would look better if the text in the headings were a little bigger and if the text had a little more padding between it and the border. It would also be better if you could get the movie player to look more integrated with your site but you may be restricted in that area.
  3. Nice look! I think that the scrollbar in the bottom middle section looks out of place. I would look into using one like ABC.com does in their full episode section. It's controlled using javascript, I believe.
  4. I think that it looks really nice. It takes too long to load especially since it's called Lightning Fast. You could have it load certain elements while others are still loading instead of loading the whole thing first. The circle navigation is cool, but I have always found it hard to use. I always have to think, "If I want that one, which way should I move the mouse?"
  5. Nice site. I would make the menu change color or something when you hover over it. Good job.
  6. I like the color scheme and the overall design. I would remove the index link, make the Eastern Europe Trip link back to the home page and put a link called Home above Photos, Blog, and Map. You probably meant "Starring:", not "Staring" and I think that "Starring" looks a little out of place. Maybe use one of your cool fonts, or change its color or something. I'm not quite sure what. Good job, though. It's a nice looking site.
  7. I like it a lot. I would put more spacing between the menu items along the top. It all kind of runs together up there. And maybe widen the whole webpage to lessen the scrolling needed.
  8. I really like this template. I don't like the purple on the sides. It's a nice shade of purple, but it doesn't go with the rest. Maybe a gray to black gradient, or light-blue to blue. I'm not sure, you'll probably have to play with it.
  9. Wow! Really nice design. I had a hard time thinking of anything that I coudl scrutinize. I think that it looks really good. The one thing I kept thinking about is the diagonal screenshots in the bottom-right corner. I like the idea, but it feels a little out of place to me. I'm not sure exactly why. I wonder if it would look better if it was faded just a little bit or if it was bright on one side and faded to the other. I don't know. Good job!
  10. I like it a lot more than lots of others that are posted here. Good job. I like the red and gray together. I did find it a little hard on my eyes when I was reading in the red and then quickly switched to text in the gray. Not sure what you can do about that, but it looks nice! I would remove the underline from the links in the menu and maybe put a little more padding between the two columns.
  11. I like the idea. I agree with Molotov. The flowers may be a little too artsy. It looks good though. My main issue is the look of the menu. I think that the items could use a little more padding on the top and bottom or a different design. Not bad though (don't cry).
  12. That logo is way better that the old one. I do think that it is a more generic looking logo though and doesn't really stand out.
  13. You've gotten a lot of criticism already, so I'll keep mine short. I think that you've got a good idea, but here are my main issues: Tables are bad Work on keeping the same look even with text-size changes (you're not far even though that screenshot above looks bad) I would put a little more space between the words Christy Web Solutions and the lines for the dark red (a little more padding there). That much red is really hard to look at. I would choose different colors as the main colors. Red can used, but not that much.
  14. I like both those ideas. They look nice. I agree with sky, though, and make sure that they degrade gracefully for accessibility reasons.
  15. I think you're on the right track I like the header and I like the menu under the header, but they don't really seem to go well together. They just seem like two different looks and feels right next to each other. I also don't think that the red text looks professional. I would change the color. It can still be a different color from the rest, but not red. I think that there is too much description. I can't get myself to read that much of a description about a web page. That's why people have separate pages for "About Us." I think that the text would look a lot better if it were left-aligned. Cool idea though. I never would have thought of a personalized web page as a gift.
