EET : A website for our trip to europe.

Featured Replies

Designed for all of 15 people. blog is template so is photo gallery. was my first site without tables quite pleased with the code.

originally the green was just one green and I think it should have stayed that way and on some resolutions the Grey content box doesn't overlap the green.. it should it looks much better when the grey box overlaps the green by about 40pxs.

one thing i could never fix was the footer when re sized the copyright info would overlap everything.

Constructive criticism always welcome.

I liked the landing page design. The colours and shapes are lively and I think that works considering the content. When I started looking around the site a bit I found things less consistent though. So although the colour-scheme remains, the gallery pages feel different to the blog pages.

From my own experiences I realise it can be difficult to integrate various tools and templates and pages to all conform to the same look. But working towards it makes a big difference to how unified everything feels.

Looks like your trip was fun! :)

thanks yeah I did want to keep all the colors consistent but the templates I used didn't offer much in the form of customization. I don't even have access to the CSS pages. (it was excellent the trip that has made me realize that web design is for me..) the short story being a woman in a hostel asked me to design her site for her and that she was more than confident in me to produce something she would be happy with :p

On my screen the some of the webpages are to the left, with an empty space to the right. In my opinion it would look better centred for all monitor sizes.

I do like the colour scheme and those icons on the photos page :)

I like the color scheme and the overall design.

I would remove the index link, make the Eastern Europe Trip link back to the home page and put a link called Home above Photos, Blog, and Map.

You probably meant "Starring:", not "Staring" and I think that "Starring" looks a little out of place. Maybe use one of your cool fonts, or change its color or something. I'm not quite sure what.

Good job, though. It's a nice looking site.

one thing i could never fix was the footer when re sized the copyright info would overlap everything.

How about putting a <br /> tag above it to tap it down a little?
