Hi,

Does anyone know of any UK based keyword tools? I get the feeling most are google.com on worldwide searches when I am more interested in UK only.

 

Is the wordtracker paid service any good? Is this what people generally use? Does it have a UK service being a US based company?

your SERP for individual keywords / phrases changes daily, thus it becomes a tedious measure to mnitor the best way to monitor your keywords in my opinion is a) Google WebMaster Tools -- "top 20 searches where you appeared." and google analytics - search engine referrals - look at searches that are bringing you hits.

Wordtracker does have a UK tool, but unless you are interested in some searches for common key phrases the search numbers are too low to be useful. The best key phrase tool I use is the MIVA tool. I believe that this does monitor UK searches (note the UK in the URL):

Also, I have found that if you replace the UK with a different county code you can check searches in other languages (Try fr and it!)

Not sure how accurate the numbers are but it has thrown in alot more variation than say keyworddiscovery.
