Raptora got a reaction from Weedy101 in IE the most hated browserI think its agreed that IE is universally despised by the web developer community... why this browser is still being released is beyond me.... and they have the audacity to bring a TV advert out for this useless, dinosaur of a browser.
Rant over

Raptora reacted to BrowserBugs in Getting Payment from ClientsCareful here. You do not have the rights to go in and remove things from his server. The real world scenario is entering someones house with a key while they are out and removing their bathroom since they have not paid for it. I 'think' you can get in big trouble for that.
I had a client messing about like this before. Since they were local (ish) I went down to their offices. Being 6ft + I towered over the receptionist and asked nicely for the guy I needed to speak with with regards to outstanding payments. She said they were out until 'later' so I said I'd wait and sat down, opened my bag and got a book out, followed by a lunch box, drink, PSP and a notepad - I was in it for the long haul.
20 minutes later a client of the company came in. They noticed my camp of tech and lunch and we got chatting. When asked why I was there I laughed and said I was just waiting for payment as money was still owed, loud enough to cause the receptionist to make a subtle call. I had a cheque in my hand within 10 minutes.

Raptora reacted to mantis in Feedback on our new homepageVery Elegant, I don't know that I have anything new to say except I love the CSS3 animations and any site that uses them. (I'm also the type of person who spends all day poking at those little Google actionscript animations.)
The only thing that bothers me a bit is the marquee type text at the bottom. It brings back bad memories of the blink and marquee attributes of yesteryear.
Does anyone remember this?:
<marquee>I am an annoying marquee. I work in Netscape</marquee> Or maybe I'm just old.
Seriously though, very nice design. And yes, responsive certainly wouldn't hurt.

Raptora got a reaction from Lyndsey in Feedback on our new homepageThanks Lyndsey, really appreciate your comments!
It seems responsive is the general way to progress with it, so I think this is going to need to be done!
Thanks again

Raptora reacted to Lyndsey in Feedback on our new homepageI love the homepage image, 'Stunning' certainly fits. The CSS3 animations give it an air of elegance.
I personally, really like the animations of the social links, they're pretty cool And the fact that the navigation is a sticky. That's good too.
Only thing I'd recommend is to make it responsive, to go along with your 'modern' theme.
Really good job though!
Lyndsey.

Raptora got a reaction from GoldRush98 in Site resign feedback :3Hey
Really nice layout, the only thing that gets me is the colour - I keep wanting to see gradient black instead of blue.... just my opinion though
Nice work.

Raptora got a reaction from Row in Opera Is Moving to WebKitDoes anyone actually use Opera? I mean as their main browser?? I'm yet to meet anyone who does lol
If only IE would make the move to webkit and magically turn IE8 webkit too.... would make my life easier.

Raptora reacted to Row in Feedback on our new homepageAwesome website, nice and clean design!
Maybe it's a good idea to get some dropdown on the input field "interested in?" So people can choose from the products, you probably already thought about it!
Since you are so in to CSS3 (What I like ) you maybe can make the website responsive, anther awesome project to work on!
Cheers :B

Raptora got a reaction from teodora in Church web design (updated) Now with content. Please give me some feedback.Got to agree with teodora, google webfonts for the win - I think 'Roboto Slab' would work nice on this site
-
Raptora reacted to teodora in Feedback on our new homepageI like it - nice and clean
Your work looks good, too - I take it the site is not finished as there aren't links to the websites you have done? I would love to see them
Maybe you can make a individual page for each project, where you tell more about the site, what has been involved, etc.?
I really like the header image.

Raptora reacted to teodora in Site resign feedback :3Hi
It's a nice design, I like it.
I think you can make it more interesting - I would have attracted more attention to the illustrations (as they are lovely). What I mean is maybe present them in a way similar to this - http://thepremiumthemes.com/wp-content/uploads/codangy.wordpress.theme.wp.yellow.masonry.template.download.jpg
Other than that, I think it's nice, but somewhat lacks personality - there are too many similar sites out there.
Hope that helps and good luck

Raptora got a reaction from teodora in Having problems with my employer. Any ideas?I think without any direct permission to the server you would basically be 'hacking' into it and I wouldn't advise it, as much as I feel for your situation you don't want to go down that avenue as it could cause you problems in the longrun - the domain belongs to the client so you really have no control over it.
Either you going to have to trust her word that she wil pay you at the end of the month, or stress that the site will not be going live until it has been paid for. Afterall, Sky wouldn't let you keep watching it's channels if you refused to pay them, its the same principle.
I do hope you get this resolved.
PS. to avoid this stress in the future, I would draw up some Terms & Conditions and place them on your site, stating that websites do not go live until the balance is paid, and ensure your clients accept these terms before any transactions are made.
Best of luck buddy
