Thanks, that post definatly explained alot to me. Am i right in saying that for the first year, we don't have to pay tax for a new business?. And is there anything else that i need to know about starting a business?

Thanks for the reply, but am still puzzled as to what the differences are between a business and freelancing. If you still have to pay tax on both, and can create a contract on both....then whats the difference? Sorry probably a thick question, but i'm new to all this and wanna learn everything i can.

Myself and my partner have been thinking of creating our own web design business. However, we are unsure of what route to take. While looking around these parts of the forum, i have noticed people talk about Businesses and Freelancing, but what difference is there really?. Myself and my partner hope to create our own website, with our own logo and offer our services to potiential clients. What would be the best route for us?, Business or Freelancing?. I also have a few questions. If we Freelance, do we have to pay tax? If we Freelance, can we create a contract? What are the downsides to Freelancing? What are the downsides to a Business? How do i go about creating a Business in the UK? Thank you for taking the time to look, any replies will be much appriciated.

CushyCMS is based upon another website, therefore if that website was compromised then so would the content on your site. It also looks unprofesional presenting that to the client.

Am also looking for a simple CMS, similar to what you have asked for. I looked at the website in the previous post and its very good. However, it would be even better if i could download it, and use it on my sever. I don't like the fact that a client would have to go to this website to update their website, its kinda odd and unsafe in my opinion.
