No i was using an example there.. there is an extension, which you wouldnt be able to see anyway because it can only be accessed from the university.

Hi, i'm a student and im on a local network and using filezilla to upload things from home. The problem is that when i connect to the server and make a change, the change will not happen when i use http://www.cems.uwe.ac.uk only when i use http://cems.uwe.ac.uk/ (Without the www.) it works fine, this is quite urgent as i have assignments due tomorrow. Is there an external way of editing a website, for someone who doesnt understand HTML? Say for example, so they can change a food menu, daily if needs be? If not what would be the best way to go about this?

No problem! maybe you could help me with the next question:P In internet explorer it is being thrown off in all directions and wont contain itself, any ideas? This is really annoying me, i think being a newbie ive put all sorts of code in thats over written other stuff.. ill have to learn to organise it better. Can anyone help with this?

I've been stuck at this for a day or so now and i cant figure out why the image links "Location" and "contact" do not work in firefox but they do in internet explorer? im sure theres a simple answer to it. could somebody help with this please? the website is www.thefishplate.co.uk Thanks

In regards to using column's, would people advise that i do it all in the same box i have? or should i do a few text boxes for it?

The idea of colums hadnt even crossed my mind, i guess that just goes to show my inexperience. The links that you mentioned are only temporary really as i plan to make them images. Thanks! p.s yep, i am from chard.

Thanks for the comments im not really too dissapointed, i did have a doc type there but deleted it for some reason somewhere along the line. The only thing i am perhaps dissapointed about is the comment on the resolution, because i spent alot of time in resizing everything in photoshop which i thought would do the trick. So i think most of the things you have mentioned are things that have slipped my mind but are no doubt important. Also what about the design itself?

Hi can people please give there opinions on the website that i am doing (near completing) There are one or two things that have yet to be sorted (i.e the links will be images and the menu link will eventually have something).
