  1. If you keep to the basic standards of security in your application you should be fine, as well as the API key it might be a good idea to add basic auth headers as an extra layer of protection (OAuth would be best). Just some thoughts: Make sure the connections are encrypted/secure via SSL Add a basic auth username and password to your request headers as well as a api key If possible lock down the "www.blahbah" URL to certain devices for your mobile device and from your PC base it on IP address Securing the website so that nothing is recorded that doesn't need to be push to it (logs etc) Log any failed requests to access the data so you can see if anyone is trying to get to it that shouldn't be Hope this helps

  4. Welcome to WDF Matt. Hope you enjoy your stay
  5. I think you will enjoy using it that way. Just make sure you have a spare keyboard and mouse
  6. This used to be common in our office too as we had a lot of the team with laptops that they took home for work and what they did was get a stand for the Mac laptop which aligned it to the screen - So even though the screens were different sizes it actually worked really well. Here is a link to the Apple store for the stands: http://store.apple.com/uk/mac/mac-accessories/stands-mounts-locks#!
  7. Hello and welcome to WDF! Lots of good designers etc on here and it is very active which is always a bonus!
  8. OK do you have disk space & bandwidth limits in mind - with these try to avoid the "Unlimited hosting" services as they normally end up with accounts suspended for over usage. Wow the other company you used seems to like doing things the difficult way round. Just a few companies you might want to check out (shared hosting / reseller hosting): EUKHost CWCS Falcoda Internet There are many others around but just make sure to do your research
  9. IPower appear to be another company owned by EIG and does not seem to have a great review status. Found a few links while searching their name on Google. http://besthostingsearch.net/ipower-review/ http://www.whoishostingthis.com/hosting-reviews/ipower/ http://www.webhostingstuff.com/review/IPOWER.html http://www.webhostinghero.com/reviews/ipower/ From the above links I wouldn't recommend them. Plenty of other companies out there that can host your site Have you any other companies you found?

I would say use the javascript code from @D4Y0 reply and if iPad add a class to the body or a div. Then you can just add some standard CSS Should be faster than PHP I think.
