  1. Cool site.. nice effects.. A little to "plastic and bubbely to my taste".. I would like more details But thats my opinion.. the site is very cool I suppose its because of those huge rounded corners, all over.. I not a fan of that.. but, take no offence! Also there is something wrong with the buttons in the menu, at the bottom, the last 10% of the button, cannot be pressed! But i love the "my digital activities" ...
  2. I used google webfonts api on serveral projects.. and I very happy with it! I made a Joomla template, www.d3signated.com, and in the configuration you can choose between, 25 google fonts.. The loading thing, is not a issue for me, its only the first time you visit..if the font is slow at loading, its showing default font from stylesheet, so I don't see the problem.. Although, its not usable for other text than headlins, so i always use a comibnation of regular websafe fonts and google api.. I wouldn't care, to much about the visuals in browsers like chrome, IE etc. They will catch up eventually Also my customers, love to pick a font! Makes them feel they part of the whole design process!
  3. Hi guys.. Ive been working with the visual hirachy.. but, its a work i progress.. I tried to move the 3 boxes, down, below the movie, and then moved the content area up, but this makes it a very graphical left side, thats very dominating, compared to the nude, content area, so nothing is implemented yet.. I tried to compensate for the dominating grafics, by fading the 3 boxes out (juery) and when you hover, it will fade in 100%.. The icons in the content area, are for our website landingpage, and not on the frontpage.. You can see the changes on this jpg: www.onlinebrand.dk/download/test.jpg Im not as pleased with the new look, as i am with the current, so please let me know if something can be done better. Although, i Recon the usability aspect is better on the new design. With the content moved up.. And with the3 boxes faded out, They dont disturb the visual hirachy..Unless you hover them. Live, changes: I've, added arrows to the dropdown menu! And I've redesigned/re-written the content on the frontpage.. so its less confusing!
  4. brightonmike > Thanks for your take on the design! Its hard to make everybody happy.. I had this design reviewed on a danish site, where i had 39 replies, 21 of them made a comment like: "love the colors, and the site design". I've had a few "5 - 7" like you who don't like the colors.. I all about visual hirachy, made a blog post about it, some years ago.. I belive, theres is a nice hirachy! From the top left, you get the 2 lines of text, saying, that we are a webagency, with focus on e-commerce and online business development. (And then theres is this phone, and a phonenumer). Right below is the video, screenshot, and if you play it, you get a 360 degree, of the firm, in 30 sec. Then there are the 3 big images, above the content, with our 3 most important products! You might say, that I din't know where to look, because so much is going on, And i agree with that, i really wish i could cut something away.. but.. what? I have an idea, to remove the 3 boxes above content, and move the contet up.. Then I can move the boxes with our services below the video, that might work!
  5. Nice and clean, no screwups, and nice banner, you could compensate for the site length, by floating the two text blocks! So they are beside each other.. The gallery is alittle annoying, since i have to press a arrow to see more, im not really inclined to do so.. would be better if alle thumbs was there.. and the image changed on hover.. since im kinda lazy
  6. The design is not bad > but could use some details.. The navigation is not my favorite, but the colors of it are okay, maby you should make a normal nav underneath! Theres something wrong with the URLS, the have spaces in them? When I used my backbutton.
  7. Maylo > Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity. You can use blue to promote products and services related to cleanliness (water purification filters, cleaning liquids, vodka), air and sky (airlines, airports, air conditioners), water and sea (sea voyages, mineral water). As opposed to emotionally warm colors like red, orange, and yellow; blue is linked to consciousness and intellect. Use blue to suggest precision when promoting high-tech products. Porkchops > Thanks for the elaborate comments I am working on the issue of to many messages.. Im trying to cut away stuff! But its so hard, so much I want to tell people we can do. We will add arrows on the dropdown. I have never seen the page, at that high solution, 1920 x 1680px is the lagest! But you might be right, do you always use fullscreen browsing using that high solution? Remember, that users will never know the "extra" content is there.. unless they have a big screenresolution.. so I don't agree with you on that. We asked ourselves, what is essensial, and made that visibile on all sizes, and then we moved up in screen resolution, and added extra usefull stuff Who would ever start with the mobile version? I get your drift, but that is not real world strategy.. "mobile site is nice to have - and we will, make it better, but the ordinary website is the most important". we had 1350 visits this month, and only 150 of them was mobile The dropshadow, has been on my mind for a long time,im not sure, to remove it or not, it makes it 3d.. everything else is CSS, but not the video picture.. We will try to work on the UI and the navigation.. Thanks for the response.
  8. I like your site, looks pretty good and its userfriendly.. and have a purpose.. the images load a little slow.. maby you can rezise them, instead of loading the big version first, and the resize them.. that would be nice!
  9. Magento webshop, can do that.. it has 5 build in product types: - Simple product - Configurable product - Downloadable products - Grouped product - virtual product Actually magento can do anything
  10. Hi, all.. busy weekend, so sorry for the late reply:) Thanks for all the nice words, and all the good advice! No hard feelings, I put my design up for review, to get feedback! And i love honest feedback How else can I work with it? Annemarie > Yes we have made a mobile version of the page, it was published friday.. so dont know if you saw it? However its only tested on iphone! (The responsive test, is not detecting the mobile version, try it on your actual phone! ) I will add the css to the textbox! Ben Evans Z > we had a big dissusion, weather to make it centered or left aligned.. I belive when using "fullscreen" things should be left aligned! This is the future of webdesign! But that is my opinion.. And also even google have changede to left alignede, when you make a search query. Russelbrown > I will try to find a use for the top right area.. It is wasted u are right. Especially on a small screen! On a big screen, its not that big of a deal..
  11. Well, the top right side of the page is "out of focus" ... content you want to be seen, needs to be in the left side, at least if you read from left to right.. as we do in the west. Users of the internet, is very narrow sighted, and stares themselves blind, on a specific area of the screen.. If you take a look at google, this place is right where result 1 is, in the serps. Can you elaborate, what you don't like about the layout?
  12. When that is said, I need some comments on the layout, the animations and the video! We started a webagency a month ago, and this site is the end result. What we need to determine is: Do we need to turn the volume down? We are targeting "big business" clients! The design, is inspired by keywords like: "Urban, city, coporate and people connecting". Again the site is in danish, and maby i should have waited, until, we have a englsih translation ready.. but that could take some time.. and we really need to be sure, we have done the right thing.. Ive already run this site through some danish people, who commented on the texts and content.. so what we are really interested in is the design and layout, effects and such.. I happy to hear from anyone Link: www.onlinebrand.dk Thx
  13. The site tried to save something to my computer, Im not a fan of that, other than that, its cool enough. But when I click the images, I get this annoying GIF animation, and for all i know its loading a new page (I know its not). You should consider making the black background more transparent, so people know its a shadowbox popup.. The grafix are nice
  14. Search for Lorem lipsum, and get som content in there.. Also add pictures and links, even video.. Then It will look more like a design Also consider the colors.. try to use a online color website..
