It's an interesting design, but:


 
background is obviously too distracting, try lowering opacty etc.
would ba actualy cool if slider and bg would come along somehow, see http://www.dcshoes.com/eu/en
more white space, content is stacked too much, affecting the readability
logo is kind awful
lack of icons, make the whole page navigation more clearly

Just use the exact code I gave you. Don't add www.yourdomain. Don't add anything. Just change the words 'client-site1' etc. to the folder names. So if you owned my website it would be:

You've made it hard for yourself there!
 
Try this .htaccess in the root of www.mydomain.com:
 

RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^(client-site1|client-site2|client-site3)\/?(.*)$ http://www.$1.com/$2 [QSA,R=301,L]
 
Just change 'client-site1' etc. to the actual folder names. There may be a better way, but this will work without messing up links to all the other folders on your site (/css, etc.)

In the footer it says something like "This website is using WordPress version 3.3.1 and PHP version X.X.X"
 
From a security perspective it would be better not to display this information.

I hope this doesn't upset you, but that is not a good design. In fact, it's lacking in all respects.
 
I'll bullet point my issues.
 

The Logo is pixellated and ugly.
The colour scheme is bad, as is the strong gradients. Gradients should only be used in a very subtle way. Strong colour gradients look cheap and tacky, as does the lime green colour scheme. You're designing a site for a pub, not for pre-schoolers!
The typography is pretty bad too. It looks pixellated and blurry.
Stretched corners. Dude, that's just not on! Keep your corners rounded properly.
The layout. You've got a lot of wasted space. Think about how you are utilizing your space. Vertical navigation is not ideal because you're using up chunks of valuable horizontal space.

 
To be honest, this doesn't appear like you've spent much time on it. Even for a quick mockup it looks rushed and lazy.
 
Have you actually done any research into other pub websites? This should show you what passes as good for that kind of website and what does not.
 
Look at how you're using colour, layout and typography. There are plenty of tutorials out there that would help you improve in these areas.
 
Sorry I couldn't be more positive But I can't beat around the bush, this is not very good design, even for a beginner, because we're now seeing lots of beginners come out with much stronger work than this. You're gonna be, at some stage, competing with those people and every other web designer so you need to think about whether you've got what it takes. It needs to be ditched and started again, and your first step should be research.
 
All good web designers conduct pretty extensive research into their project before they even touch a pixel.

I think your sizing ratio's need work. The logo is dominating the more important navigation element and the footer is dominating the entire page. You also need to get a really, really good image to lead with.
 
Sites like these thrive on selling ideas and feelings. They should hit you in the face with something you want that is only sort of related to what they are selling. You don't really need to show actual products up front. Just show people how much more awesome they would be if they bought from you. You need to get the site functionality out the road and make as much room as possible for getting feelings across.

Overall i like however there are a few concerns.
 

Top navigation colour is quite hard to read if you have bad eyesight (like i do)
The items in the screen move so fast. To fast! The pale colours of the site give a relaxed feel but the items on the mac screen move so quick it really is jarring.
The items on the mac screen are also way to bright and saturated and they clash with the subtle colours of the rest of the site.
The statistics bar doesn't do you any favours. It just highlights where you lack in ability rather than showing where you excel.
Sideways scrolling is fine except when the scroll bar goes with it, it looks awkward.
Sideways scrolling gets jammed. When you get to the new page you either can't click anything or you can't scroll up and down. Happens randomly.

I tested it on Windows Vista latest Chrome developers build.
The way i can replicate the side way scroll issue is by partially scrolling down on the home page and clicking the 'View Portfolio' button. Doesn't jam up every time mind you.
 
Regarding the slideshow in the screen. I don't think the high contrast would be that much of a problem once you slow it down and maybe try bringing the saturation down a tiny tiny bit. I'd stick with pale colours you have on the site, it looks good.
