  1. Had this site bookmarked for a while but stopped checking it because of how long tutorials took to appear, but i've learnt a fair bit from it. +1 for sharing.
  2. Like porkchops has said more people need to realise they can't do everything, i dabble in javascript and php too but i'd never say i'm an expert. i've only been into photoshop, html & css for 2 years so i'd say i'm no were near a expert nor would i put anything like that on my cv. Being 18 i know of quite a few people who think web design/development is some sort of easy career which involves sitting around playing on photoshop. the same people also seem to think writing on the cv they can do everything under the sun on their cv will get them a top job, when in fact it wont and even if you somehow do, once they realise you can't do half the things you say you'll soon be out the door. (not saying anyone over 18 doesn't know people like this, but since it's mostly young people unemployed i thought i'd say)
  3. i missed it because of the link, but a very nice and modern feeling site, i see your point about the logo mind seems abit dated and stands out like a sore thumb! no chance of them wanted you to bring it up to the same standerd of the site?
  4. Part of a little ecommerce project i'm working on... feedback/criticism is more than welcome
  5. got to say mike that's really nice and different, only thing i found was some of the company titles were abit hard to read in that font

I had the same problem, the fire brigade gave me a nice lecture about them when they came to fit new smoke alarms! Don't get the whole fanboy thing really, half the time i think it's people just been jealous the rest of the time it's the die hard windows/android lovers. Either way in my own opinion they are every penny.

the only massive benefit is, it uses one plug unlike desktops so that's all good, no wires dangling about = no mess. any other benefits are really down to personal preference, but i certainly wouldn't give mine up, i love it!
  9. Can't stand anything on my desktop so it's all in folders! Anyhow heres mine

That is the main reason alot of big IT Projects never work out IMO. People are scared someone will see their information who doesn't need to. And like you said mike, you could probably find out the same information and more by just visiting their Facebook profile, although this doesn't seem to bother them. (I don't mean medial info, but address, phone numbers etc)

Wasn't this suppose to be the plan under the last government until they said it would cost a fortune (i mean all of them "advisor's" and such can't be cheap) and it would somehow be more beneficial for each local trust to have there own central data store? Lewi
  12. I think that's pretty much how it is to be honest! Lewi
  13. I've been just looking on dribbble for ages, some of the work is outstanding. But invites seem to be hard to come across best bet is competitions and such on WDF and other sites. Also worth looking out for people you follow on dribbble they sometimes post work advertising they have an invite and how to get one from them. Lewi
  14. Currently traffic sources, great at working out if ad-campaigns from certain sources are working, or if organic is still on top! Although during the day Real Time Analytics at great at watching how people work round the website and such. Lewi
  15. Took straight from the site, i can't see his amazing idea taking off... Lewi
  16. Use Yell adwords where we work, sadly this was out of my control! But there adds make next do no difference, and in reality, I've seen traffic double by using things like Google shopping and working on SEO to rank higher on Google. Also something to bare in mind is our company has several hundred adds on the Yell website (As far as i understand), we're lucky to receive 2-5 hits a day from them. Lewi

  18. I'll take the best bits from twitter and facebook, build the best social network ever AND i'll only charge you £350! Deal?
  19. If your still stuck with this, once it loads and says it there has been a problem loading, go to your url and the analytics should load up on the page if you're still loged into google. Lewi
  20. Have you tried using the Inpage Analytics on Google? It's under content on the navigation, Shows clicks on every link on the page split into percentage but if you hove over the link you can see how many clicks. Lewi
  21. the power they hit the ball at is scary as-well, takes a lot of skill and strength. oh and some big balls to stand their with a tennis ball hurting towards your head
  22. he has some balls doing that.
  23. hum thought that might of been the case, work asking though! cheers mike. Lewi
