CSS Help - Absolute & relative with different browsers
Hi Folks Can you please help. Working something new with some of the CSS3 and HTML 5 functionality. I am struggling to position correctly the right hand contact form. I do not want to use background images and have tried using Opacity and positioning so that you can see the image behind. If you look at this page in Firefox, Safari and Chrome the contact form is too far to the right. see my CSS code: #form_background {position:absolute;z-index:1;top:275px;left:610px;width:400px;height:200px; background: #617798; opacity:0.75; border:#FFF solid 1px; border-radius: 5px;overflow:hidden;} #form {position:absolute;z-index:2;top:270px;left:610px;z-index:2;width:400px; height:200px; overflow:hidden;} The website is Osteopractitioner New site If anyone can help as I am at the end of my tether.

Freelance in the UK dead or alive
I would take your pricing off your website. People will look at it and think that is the price. When I get an enquiry i ask the customer a few breif questions and provide them an approximate price. Once you have them you can then reel them in. I would also learn how to develop a content management system if you cannot already do this. You can then build a site they can update. 99% of my clients want to update but do not want to pay for it. Therefore quality will lack. Build to what they ask for keep to the time allowed. Anything outside scope charge them for.

Add a CMS to an existing site - Help required?
Thanks BlueDreamer. On average how long would it take to learn say Wordpress and Modx to the level where I could offer my services to my clients. Surely learning all of these systems could take years? What is your view. Thanks

Add a CMS to an existing site - Help required?
Thanks folks for your input. One more thing, what do you think I should invest my time in learning for future web design projects if I am going to go down the CMS route.

Add a CMS to an existing site - Help required?
Hi All I need some advice, can I take the existing design of Goose Cottage and put it into Wordpress so that my customer can update an edit their own website? What would you recommend and where should I start. I have about 6 weeks to do it to get some more business, but I am new to CMS and have looked at Wordpress and it looks to be one of the best. Let me know as i would really appreciate your advice. Thanks Phil

My Portfolio Re-Design
Hi Mark Congratulations on building your own CMS. You do not appear to advertise this any further?? Also all of your portfolio sites are under construction. This is a big no no. Get your portfolio sorted then build your website. I would suggest taking them off for now as the visitor will think that you do not have the time management to finish a site. I am working on several projects but do not advertise until complete.

My Re-design
I think you have long way to go. As above the guys have some valid points. My critism is the sliding element when you click on the navigation. I think it does not add any value . Keep it simple. Good luck.

Holiday directory - Help needed
Hi All I am thinking of starting a project to develop a website directory to put holiday seekers in contact with holiday's. This would allow landlords to advertise their holiday cottage on my website either free of for a small fee. I would need to the cottage owner to add details of their cottage via a form and then this would be displayed and listed in the directory. This would then filter into regions within the UK. I am new to databases and was wondering what platform or database I would need to use to fit into my HTML designs. Do you know of any websites that may have script I can use to implement this on a budget? Thanks in advance
