  1. Ok, so i`ve finished the wordpress site i was working on but now im having trouble transfering it from my wamp localhost to my friend`s web hosting server. Not sure what settings to change in the database i export from localhost`s phpmyadmin and what settings to change in the CMS to work on the server. Also can anyone give me some tips with the folder permission`s i should set on the server?

  3. Hmmm, i upgraded my copy of wordpress to 3.0 beta 2 and it seems like they have a Menu Editor now. Can you give me some hint on how to use that Logout code you gave me inside the header? Im really newbie (specially in php) so im not quite sure where to add it Do i have to find the existing login button and switch it with this code? Also, if anyone know a good plugin for good registering forms, please post it Edit: I`ve found a cool plugin with a sidebar registration/login form, so im ok! Thanks again for trying to help
  4. Ok, so im working on a friend`s website/blog. He wanted to have 4 links in the navigation. [Home][Register][Downloads][staff Team] They show up like that but i want to change them to: [Home][Downloads][staff Team][Register] and also make the "register" to "log-out" when the user is already logged in Im not sure how wordpress works cause i just started working on it, but i worked for 6-7 sites with drupal and this was quite simple to make. (drupal had "weight" for the links to show up" default was 0 min was -100 and max was +100) Is there a way to re-arrange my links as i want? Or is there a plugin to make it happen?
  5. I tried that too and i still get the same pixelation. Maybe its my psd settings? (colors, resolution etc) Im still asking cause i`ve seen some other sites with gradient and none of them have pixelation or brush settings?
  6. Just installed it, i didnt see lot of changes (didnt work much in wordpress anyway, im more into drupal guess i couldnt spot the differences o.o) edit: Ohh i mostly tested the apearance of admin panel, which i saw the menu (the feature terydinho was talking about) and few other things like "edit header/background". One thing i really liked was in the menu the option to select CSS class for the menu items/links.
  7. Can you tell us about few things that `ve been added in the 3.0 version? Not really detailed but just you know key features
  8. i think @terydinho is talking about the 3.0 beta version of wordpress. I didnt try any of the beta versions yet, imma give it a go now. *running to wordpress.org* Will post my thoughts in a while edit: but man, CMS are driving me crazy from one side this is drupal 7 beta coming and now i find out that wordpress 3 beta is out too
  9. Im quite sure all those plugins come with an extensive documentation on how to use them (or at least a readme guide on how things work, if its too simple) Make sure you check it
  10. An idea i got when you mentioned to work "vinyl" was to use the vinyl itself as a background and have a text overlay on it
  11. Well i cant say much, im not as good as some people here, but one thing i didnt like was the while boxes where you hold everything. You could make the whole notebook while so the whole thing to look natural Rest for me at least is quite good (specially the drawings )
  12. AKLP posted a gallery image in Desktop Wallpapers
  13. Ok, so i tried those save settings you told me but im still having problems with this pixelation. Here is another example, this time i will attach the psd too, so you can see everything i did. (maybe i did it the wrong way?) zip file with .png & .psd attached asdf.zip
  14. This is a really interesting tutorial for people new to the web designing Most of those i already know (except Wave Gradient that i dont use at all o.o) Well everyone has his own technique and way of using them
  15. Not sure if you noticed but thats made with flash. There should be quite a lot of flash "image gallery" softwares out there
  16. I would suggest you to try Wordpress at first and see if you can work with it. Or else try Joomla and Drupal. All 3 are free and have big communities supporting them.
