ok, I tried to load up your pages on my notepad and view them, but it is late, and i can't follow what you are saying, exactly. My trick with getting the footer to always stay separate and at the bottom of the page is to put this inbetween the main content and the footer: <div style="clear:both"></div> And then you can margin it to the center of your page no matter what size the browser by adding: margin:0 auto; into your footer css. I could be totally wrong here! Sorry, I'm off to bed and I'll check up here tomorrow to see if you came right with this.

I think that everyone who says that they should offer any of their work for free, or under-valued is wrong. The whole of life is on a barter system, and what you put into something is what you should get out. The reason why we have to do free stuff is because someone somewhere started the whole thing, and now, the exact person that you do a free website for was the person who did something for free for someone else and now can't afford to pay for his own website ... and all of this means that if you do something for free, or even under it's value of worth, then you are gonna be the next one that needs something for free from someone else! And the cycle will never end! Everyone who does any kind of work should get paid what it is worth; and if someone can't afford to pay it, then that is because they should probably not have it in the first place!

Hi Melpa, I used this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpforum/, and had no trouble interating onto a page on my website. You just add <!--WP FORUM--> to a new blank page in Wordpress and the Forum shows up. I'm not using that forum anymore though; but it worked perfectly, and i easily changed the colour schemes and sizing in css and in the php files in the tables, etc. Hope that helps.

Hi Andyl, the good news is that the code is working, the bad news is that it is returning this error above my page - Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/drumshac/public_html/wp-content/themes/drumshack/functions.php:73) in /home/drumshac/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-forum/wpf.class.php on line 1375! Any ideas?

Hi there, I have created a form mail, and it has been very successful. I have also managed to block certain email addresses using this: if ($email) { if ($email=="arif@cattechnologies.com") { $errors[] = "you do not have permission"; } in my form mail. what i would like to do now is block all emails coming from the extension, eg: @cattechnologies.com. So, whether they use info@cattechnologies.com or ima_spammer@cattechnologies.com; the email will be blocked.

Yes, I'm in the process of doing that. I had to install the plug in from the wordpress interface, and i also had to copy and paste the coe into my page where i wanted it to go, and that worked. I'm in the process of looking for a plug in that allows users to upload images from their pc and write a message, but only got one that uploads from a url so far. Shew! Lots of php bussing in my head!

hi! I'm having trouble with a plug in. I've successfully installed comment image embedder into wordpress, and activated it. What i can't figure out is how do i get it to show up on a page? I looked in my widgets to see if it had created a new widget that i can just throw in there, but, it doesn't show up there.

i dont' know what i've done to my css file. i didn't edit anything in them, just moved stuff around and then this came up Fatal error: Call to undefined function home_url() in /home/cybadesi/public_html/wp-content/themes/default/header.php on line 41 So, I deleted the default theme off my server and reloaded it from wordpress site, and it is giving the same error. Any ideas?

hi there! Thank you so much for getting back to me! I have installed it in with my main website. I can change it i suppose - why would this be necessary? I have had a bit of luck. I changed the permalink name to /blog. Then i linked it to my index page with the full link, http://www.cybadesign.co.za/blog. Then when i clicked on the link it took me to my newly created wordpress blog page! I am so ecstatic to get this far!!! Jeepers! Then i copied the whole of my original blog page that i was making and pasted it into the wordpress code area, and incredibly, it came up and looked the same-ish; but a bit messed up. Shew! So, what i need to do now is to configure the layout properly. My page used html, css and jquery. THe jquery is working, the css is obviously trying to, but there seems to be layout settings in wordpress that are messing with it. Wondering how to work this all out. Is there .css file in the classic themes interupting my .css file perhaps?

Hi nelly, I have a website. And i have a host that has wordpress. I install wordpress onto my site using fantastico. All is well, all the wordpress files come up. I access using http://cybadesign.co.za/wp-admin. It takes me to the wordpress place where i can edit pages. but i don't know what page i am editing. I don't know how to link a page that i create here to my site. And when i write something simple in the space provided and preview, it shows my index.html page for my site. all i want is to make one page called blog and use wordpress because then i can make it into a blog page. I don't know how to tell wordpress that i want to edit the blog page, cos i can't find it or link to it. It says that the page id is id-4.

hi there! i have installed wordpress on my site, and i would like to use it for one page only; as a blog page. i need to know how to do this as a customer has asked me to as well. I have the blank wordpress page open in front of me, ready to edit, but when i preview the page it comes up as my index.html page, even though i hit 'add page' and made it a blog page. hi everyone! I am so happy to have awesome new hosts! I now have cpanel and webmail and php. I got Webdesigner93's formail to work, and the email goes through to my email client (thunderbird) without a problem. But, when i try to access it off webmail, it says that Mail Failure - No recipient addresses. I'm not sure what i've done wrong here!
