  1. Quite good really. I don't like the moving trick thing in the top left though. The four pics in the middle could be arranged better, but they are very small anyway, so how about making that section one big image? Maybe it could scroll through the 4 pics.
  2. I never saw the original typography, but even now it seems a little too many fonts. The drop-shadows and the outer-glows make it look like even more fonts. The main body fonts look ok, but the orangey/creamy menu bar and the pink slogan look a bit odd.
  3. The hierarchy seems a bit off. I reckon that the left icon needs making smaller in comparison to the right text. Also, the colour schemes that davep did all look better than the original. The colours you've chose don't 'flow'. It very disjointed.
  4. Hey, Thanks for the advice, that's exactly what I needed. Some outside input is always welcome. And I agree on what you've both said completely. So much so that before I'd even read CIBgraphics' post I had already removed the dropdown and the w3c tags. Also, regarding the large homepage pics, I have now added text to them so you know where they are going. What exactly do you mean by a SERVICES page? Hover links are now blue. It does look better so thanks. I've changed the title logo a bit, and its now a png so the background colour is exactly the same. I've also compressed the about and contact pages into one. Both were a little sparse before. Thoughts?
  5. The website has been updated quite a bit now. Any other feedback? Does the navigation work well? Thanks
  6. Actually maybe it would be fine on the left if the scroll was removed. It's very unbalanced right now, all bunched up to the top left on my screen.
  7. Yeah, got to agree with that. It looks real nice, but in could do with being centred (I'm using 1260x1080) and having the scroll just flow down the page. Like I said though, it looks real nice. The left manu, logo, colours, music player and bottom icons all look slick.
  8. my website has been on for less than a week and it is the top of the google page when you search my name. It will be a bit longer i imagine before it get anywhere near the top on words you would actually search for.
  9. it all stretches out a bit far on wide resolutions, and the 4 coloured menu might looks better on 1 line.
  10. I like the colours and the layout, and the logo is good too. I don't like the justified text, and it's also pretty big. Also, why do all 3 main links go to the same page?
  11. The rest of the info and pics are on now. What do you think?
  12. errr....lol. It was just a makeshift image until I sort a better one. It had similar colours to what I'm thinking so I stuck it up. I've changed it now anyway to something more blurry/subtle that doesn't detract from the centre. Still not the final one though, I'm unsure about the background now.
  13. I'm not sure if this is the right forum, sorry if you have to move it. I have excluded a selection of IP addresses from my Google Analytics results to stop my own viewings affecting data. My IP address changes every day, (something which I have only just learnt). Most of my various IP address are in the range of 86.130.??.??, but some are 86.158.??.??. If I exclude all the IP addresses that start with 86.130 will this not exclude some local viewers? These are results that would be quite important to me as that's my target audience. How wide a range should I block?
  14. I made myself a website to showcase my graphics/photography. Both critical feedback and compliments welcome, about the website or even the other work. Thanks. http://www.timaldous.co.uk
  15. I like it, but it is very er....impersonal. I can't think of a better word. It looks very 'professional', like a finance company or something. Maybe make your logo bigger, have the blue bar thicker. The grey banner is quite poor. The header should be more prominent than this too, but only just. The portfolio page is great. On the text heavy oages a little more space around would help. The text is close to the border. Could the 3 righthand large boxes be narrower and taller?
  16. Stock imagery, vista backgrounds, Times New Roman, poor logo,,......
  17. Use verdana or something simpler as the body text. The drop shadow looks a bit poor. The logo is excellent and I like the colours and overall design of the site.
  18. I like the font. It works well on the menu and headers. I would swap the 'My Work' from black and orange to orange and black. This way ABOUT, CONTACT, and WORK are the same orange.
  19. the SELL has grey, RENT is red, etc etc... I think the home page button/scheme should be a different colour to blue.
  20. I like the painting palet. I like the idea of it changing on each page too. I also like the colour schemes. I would say that there are too many fonts, especially in the bottom left section. The bottom of the page gets a little hard to read. Think about hierarchy.
  21. I quite like it, but: I feel the logo in the top left could be bigger/different/ colour changed....Something. I don't know what but it does look odd. The 'SOURCEBITS' looks like part of the menu. Also, the site should be centred. Why does the body come in from the left? On a larger resolution this looks weird. Apart from that it looks very nice.
