bump! no thoughts?

I'm not certain whether I am in the correct forum area or not, but this looked like the most accurate. Chatroulette has been a hit, with numerous clones already being created. I've searched the forums (and nothing), and then the web (finding little information), but I am hoping to build a chatroulette clone but for a certain group of people with common interests. I'd like to know just HOW Chatroulette works. There have been a few clone scripts already created, for example... http://www.camchatscript.com and http://www.jabbercam.com HOW do each of these websites work exactly? I've had difficulty finding a stable platform where boththe video and audio has been clear. If I were to buy one of these clone codes, how could I make the audio and video clearer? Would I be able to or is it out of my hands? Appreciate it! Thanks.

I figured I would throw a blog of my own since I follow so many music blogs nowadays. I started out with an html layout, then tried wordpress, but settled with joomla. i've been messing with the layouts for awhile, but i think i like this one the most. tell me what you guys think and what i should do differently. thanks youswipiswap.com

as the others have mentioned, i like the colors of the second, but the design of the first. the map is pleasing to the eye, so definitely keep them in.

FAR too many advertisements. for the pages with working videos, the size for the actual video are too small.

okay, i made a permanent 301 redirect, but there are no changes regarding the website address when I try to google it. maybe i just have to wait a couple of days or something? also, i'm looking at a possible "Wild Card Redirect," but i'm not certain whether i should check it or not. thanks again

Appreciate all the replies. I understand I am just starting when it comes to all this technical procedures. I decided to give the site a whole new look, using Joomla. It took awhile to figure out at first, but it made thinks much easier for me once I got the hang of it. Any followup feedback would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I need more things going on some of the pages, but i'm just starting out. Thanks again.

Here is the story. Making a website for my father's company, a family glass factory, however my question is regarding SEO. Also, I am using Joomla as the CMS. I already have a sample website, and have put in global site meta description and keywords, however when I type in a given keyword, this is what google shows me. ended up changing the design to a more friendlier look. still isnt in html though. i've been messing around with it for the last couple of days with the html. could someone tell me the benefits of converting it to html? I understand so search engines will be able to find these particular links and connections. Also, it won't take as long to load and editing each page would be much easier. Why couldn't I just keep it as is, throw some meta tags in there and call it a day?...or will i just be better off putting it into html? thanks

i find the new header to be suitable...but really it depends on what resolution you are using i imagine. if you're using a widescreen, it'll probably look obnoxious.

I guess you could call it a blog anyway. Fairly new to the whole creating websites scene, but it was entertaining creating. I enjoy music, and really the sole purpose of the site is exposing music that has just been released, and then connecting their type of music or sound with other artists.
